Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime both have "doors" in the sense that their canopies open to allow passengers to get in

 

So....what we see is what we’re getting. NOthing fancy. No secondary transformation from hotrod to Rodimus Prime. The trailer is nothing special. Ooooo it has a gun station. WOW. Basically, nothing to justify this figure being a Commander Price point. I don’t get it! Why is this figure NOT a leader class? It is a voyager with a box called at trailer. WHY?

 

I’ll wait to get it on sale for half the price. Gives me more money to buy the next Titan.

 

You do know that Hasbro (the driving force behind the mainline stuff) has nothing to do with the MP stuff right? They don't even sell it directly anymore aside from the MPM stuff.

People complained when Optimus' trailer couldn't fit a deluxe in it. If people want a trailer big enough for that then the price increases.

 

Based on everything we've seen from Leaders with trailers these days, this has far more engineering and parts than leaders have been giving us for a while. Look at Optimus or Ultra Magnus and try to tell me the robot or the trailer approaching what we're seeing from this? They are cool but this clearly is putting the added budget to use. Hell, the total package looks beyond even what we were seeing in the heyday of Leaders from 10-15 years ago and all of those probably would be near this price range at todays prices.

Pay $50 dollars for a shitty trailer (earthrise prime)or pay $80-90 dollars for a half way decent trailer plus some effect parts. And no this will not shelf warm the more our community gets angry about some thing the harder it seems to find the figure at retail (air arachnid is a great example) and (tankor is a bad example)

Nice to see some new photos, and I\'m liking what I\'m seeing!  He looks big, like DoubleDealer big, like tossing-Galvatron-is-easy big!  If he\'s got the complexity of DD devoted to articulation instead of triplechanging, this thing could be amazing!

I like that the trailer has an actual door that\'s separate from the fold-down battlestation bit (which itself looks like it flattens to be perfectly inline with the wheels).  If those fold-out pipes on the sides of the trailer also prop up the trailer-sides, that covers a lot of my complaints about ER OP\'s trailer.  Plus there\'s a lot of mass unaccounted for on the trailer, like the large orange base beneath the gray \"floor\" with 1 seam on the left side yet 2 seams on the right, so I\'m hoping the trailer has some more surprises yet!

The sword looks less superfluous in these pics for some reason - got a fold-out peg that might make it more versatile, maybe.  I\'d like to see the whole shebang, like the mysterious extra blastfx - guess we\'re waiting on Fan Fest for that?

 

Dont forget the lower pipes have springs, so they automatically return to their original position. and yeah thats what april 9th is for

 

Since we have a comparison with SS Hot Rod, could someone try to compare figure sizes with WFC Optimus?

 

Looks good but I still can't see the commander class price point out of this. It is a real stretch

 

Why are you people so willingly ignoring the fact that toys with more parts cost more fucking money? Rodimus has more parts than a Voyager and his trailer has way more parts than Optimus's trailer. But all you people see is "Voyager size robot and dumb box" and just absolutely avoid any critical thinking into why they cost more.
