The front end of the toy really resembles the front end of the Bison I think:
so basically studio 86 hotrod with some lines to make him look "old" and a plastic trailer that continues the trend of toys at higher pricepoint than what they should be. what's nexxt commander size at Titan class prices? NOICE. the only reason I MITE bite is becuz Ive never really owned a rodimus. The original toy and animated character just felt yucks/underwhelming to me. But but the superior eengineeering..ugh no doesnt really justify the price bump imho.
Prices points are not representative of sizes and yes, more plastic does indeed increase costs. The character is more than just the bot mode.

Stop making sense!
Well, no. It's a large (current) leader figure with an almost entirely different transformation. And the entire trailer section which is not simply a box like Optimus'.
You notice that SS Hot Rod has a fake chest whereas Kingdom Rodimus does not.
They happen to have similar looking bot bodes because, duh, because they've always had similar bot modes.
ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY SIX PAGES AND PEOPLE STILL CAN'T GRASP THIS.
And you can just....not buy it.
What is the trailer supposed to be made of, if not plastic?
That looks pretty badass, I would give it a chance, I like the fact there bringing him back in the new line up. I never had a figure of Rodimus Prime just never got around into getting one, but I would totally get this one!
You mean to say extra effort and materials investment on a project/product doesn't warrant extra rewards?
Me Slag say you full of beryllium baloney!
Diecast of course.
Well, for one I think this Hot Rod looks cool. Cool enough, anyway. I admit that at the same price point as Jetfire, he will need a good handful of accessories and effects parts and his Targetmaster partner to be a little nicer than Siege Firedrive. For me, the pop-up turret emplacement trailer, while a lovely G1-faithful modernization, is just not really something I'm looking for. I may be better-suited waiting until there's a very high quality non-transforming Rodimus figure that ticks all my boxes, in the ThreeZero DLX price range:
[ ] LED light-up Matrix prop that plays "ARISE, RODIMUS PRIME" sound file
[ ] Huge as fucc swole Galvatron-launching chad with big fukn hams
[ ] optional spring-loaded arm mechanism for tossing lower-quality figures
[ ] Angry man-face, the boy is gone, no more breakfast club, Judd! 4-5 face plates, none are smiling or smirking.
[ ] Firebolt\Firedrive with an MMC-level small character treatment, including some die-cast and very nice smoke and effect blasts.
[ ] Paints that are so Red and so Orange they travel back in time and then set it on fire and probably laugh
Just watched Dark Awakening again and I understand season 3 had animation errors galore but Rodimus is a tad taller than prime so scale wise I think if he is a smidge taller, there is no issue. Cyclonus however is huge ans taller than galvatron in almost every shot....
The only reason this exact post wasn't written in 1986 about G1 Rodimus Prime is because the internet didn't exist yet.
Lol. Adamantium of course. Really now people. Stop Embarrassing yourselves.
Bitchers Bitch it’s what they do.
