$80 can be a lot for any figure really. From a certain point of view anyway.

I dont know how much can change on paint aside from the hubcaps. everything else is spot on. What im worried about is the mistransform. because with prototype toys come prototype instructions

I've made a few comparisons based on 5mm ports, pegs, one with blast effects, and one using the Matrix. They might not be perfectly accurate, but he will definitely be large and at least taller than Optimus

It can be painted by regular store bought paint, the issue is that Hasbro's industrial factory paint doesn't stick to it. So custom painting is certainly possible if you've got the skill set

This is just incorrect. Nice try though. Check the start of this post to see an actual size comparison actually based on the 5mm ports

If you're in Japan, you'd be better off ordering from Amazon here:
    https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B08XYV4PGD/
If you're in the States, I'd recommend waiting for domestic preorders, as not only will it be a lot cheaper, you'll also get it faster.
TakaraTomy releases these figure months later than Hasbro.

I plan to preorder from BBTS, Amazon and Japan. I will pick up a local one too if I see it. One for In Box, one display, one for my kid, and one to customize

    Wow! :D

I double checked for you and Amazon Japan ships this listing to the US. With a $100 preorder price, this should come in a lot cheaper than eBay, so definitely worth checking out imo :)

See this is interesting to look at but I think another member explained here that sometimes the depth of field on pics really screws with stuff also Warden said he was in scale with ER Op, so I can't really believe he's THAT big.

Both ports seem to be equally close to the front. So I'd say it's possible/close

I'm surprised nobody's just copied and pasted the same 5mm port all the way down the vehicle mode from end to end. Then we would just have the length and could compare it to Optimus, rather than trying to line up pictures exactly...

He can say he's in scale, but with the nebulous nature of G1 scale and the fact that plenty of figures who are "meant" to be in scale aren't, that doesn't at all mean he will be the same size as ER Prime.

Galvatron is supposedly a full-size leader according to Phamduc despite that putting him much larger than he should be relative to Cyclonus and Scourge.

Regarding his being a Commander Class price point...

One thing is sure.. This toy is being Rodimus itself.
It doesn't fail to be and still...

    CONTROVERSIAL!

    Hahahaha

Unless a toy is Sexually explicit or extremely graphic is not controversial. It’s just a toy. You want it buy it... if you don’t want it don’t buy it. The majority of People complain all the time about something it’s just what they do. It’s never going to change... ever.

Until we get a full review, you don't know the Rodimus Prime toy isn't sexually explicit

Controversy: "a prolonged public dispute, debate, or contention; disputation concerning a matter of opinion."
Anything can be controversial if people argue about it enough.
