I gotta say, I'm disappointed that he's a straight-up G1 toy update instead of the MTMTE design. He still looks okay, surely better once he's transformed properly.

Oddly enough, that's definitely the MTMTE head and not the toy head.

I wish this was IDW whirl. Still It's a whirl And I'll get it anyway.

EDIT: Actually is it just me or dose he have the IDW head?

    Very good looking.

Kind of frustrated that we only got prototype pictures of this at BotCon ...

Edit: But on second thought, we did get some other nice reveals. I'll tone back the butthurt :D

Meh. I was excited, but not anymore. I was hoping for the IDW design, not G1 design with articulation.

    Pass.

That's the G1 toy head, right there.

This figure is basically an update of the original toy - the altmode's almost identical, even.

Just looked at the tfwiki page - and the fact it IS G1 with articulation makes me love it even more.

    Sweet!

    Looks nice.

Not MTMTE, but I'll be happy to buy it.

Its alright, I was really hoping for it to be IDW style. Not sure if I'd bother with this one.

Hmm...it's a mix of MTMTE and G1 toy.

Head is definately MTMTE and the legs evoke Chaos Theory Whirl. The overall colour scheme is also pretty much IDW Whirl. Alt mode looks exactly like his G1 toy.

The claw arms are more like his G1 toy but they're kinda neat.

It's probably horribly mistransformed like the figure always so I'm waiting for the official pictures for that.

It's not what I hoped for, but for what it is it's a pretty damn good new Whirl. Getting it!

Now ome on Hasbro! ROTORSTORM REMOLD!

What I like about the legs is how they evoke the ski legs of the original without actually having skis.

Because let's face it, the only guy who can own the "permanent ski" look is the Black Racer.
