What about Size Class? CW had a simple rule: four deluxe+one voyager and Titans Return had the Titan Masters compatible on all size class (with Voyager having extra bits to bulk the head and Leader TM being a face rather than a full head to account for the helmet). I'd imagine Deluxe+Deluxe and Voyager+Voyager would make a decent enough play pattern but I'm not entirely sure its one that could work. Seem too basic for Hasbro if they were, in theory, to make another play pattern-heavy line again like the Prime Wars.

Don't know if that counts are a good thing or a bad thing.

Back in Energon, I hypothesized that it would have worked better if they’d done:
Voyagers = legs + torso and Deluxes = head & shoulders + arms and you would end up with much more proportional combine modes.

the big problem with that is, most lines have 3-4x as many deluxes as Voyagers, so doesn’t really work as a line-wide play pattern cleanly.

I think the solution might be as easy as using a common connector so that you could combine any Deluxe and Voyager top and bottom if you want to, it just might be a bit silly looking proportionally. Or could give you a cool hulk-bot.

On the positive side, I do like how Swoop is staying a blue toy now instead of red.

Take a look at post #60, in which some kind soul (who shall remain anonymous) hid a quick-and-dirty digibash of swapped versions behind a spoiler tag so as not to make those who have had conniptions viewing the official pictures even more likely to gouge their eyes out.

So, if the name Slag was still able to be used, would the combination between him and Megatron be called "The Slag-Maker?"

Power Rangers knows how to reinvent itself every year even while staying within recognizable visual cues.

I *wish* Transformers was as bold as Sentai/PR.

They should fire the person at Hasbro who thought making these was a good idea.

Yes; You only need to buy 2 figures instead of 5; and like past lines, as you add to your collection, older Toys gain new possibilities.

That was Crash Combiners/Team Combiners, which these build on...but don't appear to copy connectors.

Oh good. I was hoping to see more shelf warmers!

So when Generations products sell out (or we get stuck w 4 unsellable Arcees on the pegs), Hasbro will spend money to vainly stock these for kids who dont seem to care.

As for me? There's enough Generations product to buy: zero chance of purchasing these. The crash combiners were pretty mediocre, imo.

If they want to do these cheezy cheap designs, do them as RockLords. Hasbro already owns the rights to them, and I kind of miss the RockLords.

I don't think Hasbro would mess up making a cheap rock, would they?

They could even put clips or magnets on them to combine into bigger rocks. The whole purpose of the line is to combine everything together into one giant figure that will never stop growing to make as big as you want. I think that would be fresh and new and never been done before. Basically everyone is a combiner-rock, a rock, a robot, and combiner-robot.

There could be competitions to see who has the largest RockLord in the world in Boulder, or Robot Mode. They could have an annual competition held in Boulder, Colorado. They could have a race to see who can combine the most RockLords in 30 minutes, or longer. All the difernt kind of RockLords tramsform differnt ways so the variation of the giant it forms will vary from person to person. It would make transforming into a gameshow you would watch on TV like the LEGO competitions on TV now. They could combine into LEGO-like combinations to really design your own robot. It would be amazing!

RockLords would be the Ultimate Combiner Fan's Wet Dream, rich or poor.
