Well that was unexpected, not sure where they are going with the dinobots connecting to Cons though.

Being British I dont like the fact they changed Slag to Slug, ive never found it offensive as its means Molten waste.......but on the flip side had they not changed it that combined mode of Slugtron, would be Slagtron and all I could think of was a sexbot :lol

... I'd buy it just to hopefully show support for Paddles. Heck, if they do any other Dinobot aside from the main 5 I'll probably grab them.
    Thank ye.

Slugtron should really have been called Slugatron.

I'd also hit up their social media when they take questions and ask about Paddles.

SS86 Sludge would make for a great Paddles starting point from a WfC perspective.

    Ebay:
knock these if you want, The crash bash guys were GREAT toys. I know this for a fact as I have a basket of kiddy transformers I bring out when little kids come over, and they LOVED those things.

I didnt mind them much myself. I bought one out of curiosity, and my son loved it...Then I could not stop fiddling with them.

Honestly..Ill prolly buy these just because they are FUN.

Can transform him back and forth again as much as I want, without worrying about his resale value - PRICELESS.

I’d like to see how they’d look swapped. Based on the proportions, they were intended to be swapped, but where put in the opposite packages to encourage people to buy both

I was really hoping these wouldn’t be like those RID figures, but these look a little better. That Bumblebee looks like shit, but I might want to get Megatron.

I'll be honest, I'm conflicted. Bee and megs look trash. And slag looks meh. But swoop actually looks pretty good. I might pick his set up if I have some spare money

Now let's see volcanicus. If it looks as good as swoop does alone, then I might be in.

Is that a bad thing? Those were fun. I wish some of those ideas came to Generations. Would be the best chance at Landcross.

Combiners like this, PR, and Voltron got me in to robots in the first place. I think a lot of adults forget how cool that is as a kid to make bigger toys out of the stuff you had laying around.

One thing I hate is that Bumblebee is a bottom half, yet the head is styled after him.
Meanwhile Megs is a top one, and the head is styled after him.

This makes it weird if you combine Swoop and Slag (Slap? Swag? Swoos?) and you just get Bee head anyway

Crash Combiners were somewhat similar. The top half would be a mix of both guys who form the combiner as it was sold. There are elements of Swoop in that top half, but I'm guessing they focused on Bee because his name is the one that sells.

But would such a concept work as a 'play pattern' like Combiner Wars/Titans Return?

I don’t see why not: vehicle, robot, legs or torso (with an icon indicating which prominently displayed on the box) - it’s still a fully realized toy, just becomes more when you add a 2nd.
