First time attempting to repaint an action figure of any kind so this will be a learning process for me.

Anyways, here's my attempt to complete my Classics Seekers without breaking the bank. I'm going to start with two Acid Storms and a Classic Starscream and hopefully I'll end up with Skywarp, Thundercracker and Sunstorm (I have henkei Starscream and Ramjet).

As of this moment I'm mostly done with painting Thundercracker. I just need to paint his tail fins black and get some reprolabels.

I'm really really happy with how he turned out. I'm still a bit shaky with my brush applied details but the overall paint which I sprayed on turned out awesome.

If you guys have any tips or advice I'd much appreciate it :)

    Update:

Both Skywarp and Thundercracker are almost done! Both need a few touch ups and reprolabel wing stripes. I took more in progress pics this time around.

I tried using Reprolabels for the wing stripes and just didn't like them. Took quite a few tries but got the wing stripes done to finish these two guys off. Sunstorm is taking longer than I expected since the lighter colors required a primer pass and I ruined a Starscream figuring that out.

You know it really wasn't as hard as I imagined it would be. There's quite a bit of startup cost (I probably coulda bought Henkei TC with what I've spent) but I'll be able to keep doing repaints and mods now so it was totally worth it.

    Plus it's relaxing :)

That paint work looks incredible. Did you have experience using spray paints previously? If not, then you took to a difficult task like a fish to water.

Wow thanks for the compliment! Zero spray paint experience before.

I watched a couple youtube videos to get the basics, but it was mostly learned from experimentation. I had to strip the paint a few times until I developed a technique that worked for me so I used almost a whole can on just the wings LOL

    Great first custom?
    No...

    Great custom full stop? Yes.

I've only been doing this six months or so and it gets addictive!

Oh wow... that's pretty good. And this is the first time you've ever custom painted a figure? That's sweet!

Looking forward to seeing your other custom-painted Seekers. :)

Skywarp - Bot Mode. Kinda torn about the color of the null rays. All purple would be more G1, but I'm concerned about how that would turn out and I like the silver and black already.

Thundercracker - Alt Mode. Needs a few touchups

HOLY SHIT! Looking at the Megatron you just did, I thought the seekers were the Henkei Seekers, NOT customs. These are great!
