Yeah. I can agree. And I’m sure most do. But until then we just go with it.

Some of it, especially when the thread got shut down at first, as to do with the moderators trying to maintain a balance to enforce the part in the rules that states the forums are technically all-ages. Personally I agree with you, but after getting this locked once, making updates hard to come by, I think walking on eggshells beats risking another closure.

On that note, I think Capcom editing some camera shots for R.Mika and Cammy, and eSports banning users from using certain outfits on their fighters is total malarkey.

I swear, all this complaining about robots having girly bits, does anyone say anything about about all the ones with the boy parts?

Maybe they're there to help with balance or something....

That's generally the case with Gundams. They have all kinds of odd bits for balance, flight, etc. They're also derived from old samurai armor which of course have things to protect a samurai's little samurai.

In other words, it's the difference in origin and therefore perception - the robot "boy parts" you're seeing are derived from armor. The robot "girl parts" people have complained about are derived from a perceived lack of armor.

Not saying it's actually worth discussion, but this might explain the difference in reaction.

Is there anywhere/any place that are taking pre-orders for this figure?

Not as yet. We don't even have an official debut. Odds are we'll see something at the first show that happens post-CNY, but there's a good possibility of getting something substantial via their Weibo page.

TLDR, if women traditionally fought in wars, molded breast armor would exist. As they did not, it does not exist. But in alternate, fantasy settings (Skyrim, or Cybertron) where women do fight, molded breast armor would entirely exist.

Why would breast armor exist?! Flatten those tits down and put a plate on. Only Batman has breast armor lol

I think it'd be more of a cultural thing. Medieval European armour had a more practical sense to it at least, with the shaping intended to guide blows away from critical points and such.

But then you look at the molded breastplates of Roman Legionnaire armour, and then yeah, a feminine version of that seems just right.

I've learned something new today. It does explain a few things.

But some of these boy robot bits must be really delicate going by the amount of..... protection they're using.

People talk about inner curves and plate seams being "impractical," but the reality is that the only way to build armor without them would be to just make a giant, sealed, sphere. Getting gutted didn't exactly have a high survival rate in medieval Europe, but their platemail still curved in at the waist, and a longsword could be stabbed into the chest via the arm slot of a breastplate. The only things you'd really want to avoid would be flexible plate seams on the chest, or any deep curve or angle on the chest.
