    Mods:
    - Taped inside of mask to reduce LED bleeding
    - Small paint application on sides of the mask to resemble CGI image
    - Pulled chest / widows slightly out to obtain somewhat rounded chest (less 'blocky')
    - Applied Autobot symbol stickering on shoulders

    Result:
    - Fantastic, movie accurate, transformable optimus (other than 3A's alternative...)
    - Saved considerable $$ compared to Toy World's offering (which is a pain to transform and, imho, has a strangely sculpted chest / ab section)

    I'm happy

How funny, two posts about mods not but an hour inbetween! I also got hold of this guy recently, and spent a while reading through this board! Getting an idea on how to mod him, similar set up used tape on the mask to prevent light bleed, also used a matt sealant (i prefer matte look) with some light weathering! I also tightened up all the joints so no more floppy arms!

@Clonebasecustoms man look at that crafting/tooling table. And you have a resin printer on the side? Who else has at least a decent area like this to goof off? I have to do it on the floor...sometimes bathroom floor. lol :p

I'm surprised no one tried to do an upgraded head for this figure. I like the head, but I also wouldn't mind a more accurate head.

What’s the standard for tightening this guys joints, Future? Tightening screws? I need to check mine again. I know his shoulder/arms were a little weak.

Haha wasn't too long ago it was all done on my bedroom floor, but when i accidently spilt watered down paint on the carpet i thought time to upgrade!

I did things a bit differently, its very high risk and very high reward, i completely disassembled the top portion of him, including the joints then added a couple decent drops of super glue and then used a drop of IPA 99% alcohol to speed up the reaction allowing me to move slightly as it quickly set, fills the areas nicely and keeps it tight.

I was thinking the same thing, i really want to print one but i just need to find/make one! I do wonder though whether the slight difference to the actual model is due to licencing? As hes not exactly accurate could be to avoid and possible legalities?

I'm pretty sure this was exactly it, the companies that moved on to make a BB OP before HasTak, WJ went completely OG as to never fear copyright aside from color scheme and being a robot to truck.

Soon or later I will bit the bait... :lol  but I want a MP sized Optimus, not an oversized but after having TW09 (it was a horror, untouchable) I'm considering to pick this Optimus... The other brands announced years ago, seems that stopped their designs... There's no other MP transformable BBB Prime (except the other horror... The MP Takara toy).

The MPM isn’t a bad figure. But hardly worthy of the designation MPM.
    Or it’s price.

Im just gonna get the 3zero and call that one done, because nothing else cuts it.

If this one didn’t have such a big chest and spindly arms then it would be the one for me.

@ManelFigures @bellpeppers you guys didn't bite when Showzstore had the no box version for $80? You guys should have, that was money well spent and why I have 2. :D

I did and the paint on mine was all scratched up because the figure was bouncing around the box for a month with barely any packing material at all. Was very upset with ShowZ and if I had known about the ShowZ thread at the time I would have raised a stink about it.

If barely any packing I wonder if somebody did an "inspection" of it. Mine was fully wrapped up in bubble.

I have 3zero and I love it but I miss a transformable version.

I never buy figures without box. If I have to store them, it's a pain. A figure without a box for me losts a part of the "collection" thing, you know. :lol

@ManelFigures I usually don't buy figures without boxes...but I'm blue collar and I have no "display" area...some deals are just too good ;)  So far, Fire Scorpion (x2 no box with the OG) and WJ Hornet Warrior...ironically, both WJ, and so worth it. When I retire (still working of course, lol), is when I hope to have a real display area (taking chances is fun ;) ).

Man, when I have time and a bit of extra money I have to buy a 3d printer so we can perfect a head for FS...but man I won't know where to start to print a head for us for this guy.

Well, all you need is some 3D CAD skills, a small resin printer, some resin, some paint, an boom done! :)

    Piece of cybercake.
