A lot of people really underestimate how strong plastic can be. The original bullet-proof glass was plastic (polycarbonate in specific), and there are several engineering-grade plastics available today - many of which can even be 3D printed, and some of them are considered to be suitable as metal substitutes (such as PEEK). Not to say that this is going to be made from those (it's most likely ABS, PP, or perhaps Nylon at a stretch) but it's still not as brittle as Bakelite.

I mean it'd be more comforting if the ankle was anchored on both sides, but that's still about as much plastic as there is in the joint of most other figures. It still looks sturdier than LS-13 and I don't recall anyone mentioning breaks on that.

I understand how strong is the plastic as lots of daily good is made by plastic and it should be fine if this parts is not involved in transformation. However, I lose my confident when I found that this small piece needs to withstand the load of body and also need to rotate its axis during transformation. Also I don't know why Dream Factory choose to make the chest by metal but use plastic for its calves.

I don't know whether is this problem causes M09 lose its balance but the overall performance is unsettling

Not forgetting Premium Optimus also from 3A / Threezero! The details and material on that is a whole level higher than the DLX. Only second to Yolopark's imo, which costs all our organs to get one.

I look at it this way... so long as I'm not planning on slam him onto his feet it should be OK. Since most his weight is towards the top, even a shelf dive shouldn't do that (if it happens). If it's just supporting weight than at worst it might bend a little - I wouldn't expect any outright breakages unless it were exposed to a lot of torque (you'd have to try and over-bend the feet for that) or a strong impact. WJ's plastic, at least historically, hasn't been nearly brittle enough to snap under a little load.

Either way, I'm holding onto my pre-order. If something goes wrong that looks like a part I can both fix and strengthen as necessary, but I don't think I'll need to just at a glance.

Update: For the first time (for me) baba refused to honor the advertised free shipping for this item, saying it's too heavy to qualify. The thing is, I don't doubt that's true in a sense, but I bought it on the premise and promise of receiving free shipping (I could have bought it with free shipping elsewhere, e.g., Show-Z). Anyway I've told them to just hold it then, if reviews don't start to improve I'll probably just cancel it (again).

That sucks. Makes me anxious for when Thomas arrives. I’m paid up with Baba. Would suck if they added more shipping cost.

he did that to demonstrate that m09 has “soft, wobbly feet”. Notice how many times through the video m09 lost his balance.

Everything from the forum and video said.. Can be fix
And is a easy fix too
You just need a toothpick (use to apply floor polish and just a drop only each moving joint) and some future floor polish

    Even in vechile mode...
Actually the back wheels doesn't roll is because the screws behind the wheels too tide.
And when u guys transform to vechile mode just adjust the hips one click back from center.

And about the lights on the head it goes through
U can always spray black coating behind the head to avoid the light go through from the rest of the area besides the eyes

Normally those paint chipping is surffer from the thighs only.. But since this fella is fully weathered. U don't really notice it.
He finishing is something like joytoy's steel bone.

Can the chest be angled so it is more like the TW and 3A?
