Technically, you have until 4:16 pst, so 25 minutes left to counter the g2 IF sideswipe... do it.

We only post early in case the challenge isn't met on time. ;)

I'm serious, dude. I got my Shinjis right here.

    Well?
Do you wanna see 'em, or not?

    Are we gonna do this?

Bear with me, guys... This one's a little complicated.

    MP homages.jpg

Repainting Masterpiece figures as cop cars -- or Diaclone homages -- is a well-established trend now. TakaraTomy gives them names like "Cordon" and "Clamp Down," making them new Transformers characters.
But what about when a third-party does it?

    You're Under Arrest.jpg

This is X-Transbots MX-XVII-T, “Taiho.” It's not referencing a specific Transformers character, nor even homaging a Diaclone toy; it instead represents the Honda City patrol car featured in the You're Under Arrest OAVs, TV series and comic books.
So the only way I can justify posting this figure as a challenge is to accept any version of the same mold that does represent a Transformers character, namely X-Transbots' "Savant" (Skids) or "Herald" (Crosscut).

    So have at it. ;)

Well, you're in luck. Rumor has it @tekering might be willing to part with his, for the right price...

Good. Now, have you noticed your windshield is cracked? :p

    @Ichibaru

Also, @tekering, apart from your statues and models, do you have any other characters from evangelion?

That depends on how you define "statues..."

    statues?.jpg

    ...and "characters."

    EVA in the ruins.jpg

How much articulation does a figure require before it ceases to be a statue?
How inhuman does a creature need to be before it ceases to be a character?

Well ok, I was referring to the EVAs when talking about characters. But doesn’t every EVA have a soul? As for statues well, I think I would categorize a Statue as a figure that is sometimes big, well painted but most importantly greatly sculpted. You could also then say that the figures from Star Wars resembling the 5PoA are statues. And I would say that it could be possible but another thing that statues have for me are they are sculpted in a way in which they seem dynamic and full of life. Not a sculpt that looks like it moves like a robot.
Also, who are those little EVAs that look like LEGO?
    Thanks

That one is the RAH?!? Well it looks seemless but I rather stick with the SoC and the MAFEX offerings. Maybe revoltech too, but those Kubricks do look cool.
    Thanks

Speaking of statues and figures, here's a non-transforming Transformer posable statue or action figure.
Flame Toys Kuro Kara Kuri Drift - 黒絡繰 ドリフト

If I've gotten my Japanese correct, 'kuro karakuri' translates into 'black automata (clockwork puppet).'

I really should get the Star Saber while it's still available.

You really can't go wrong with EVA merchandise. The Metal Build figures are stylish and modern, the Real Action Heroes are totally anime-accurate and fantastically posable, the MAFEX and Revoltech figures have a ton of accessories and display options...
...but for total, unadulterated, balls-to-the-wall kick-assery, I prefer to go oldskool. :rock

    Tsukada EVAs.jpg

At over 40cm tall, the Tsukuda Hobby vinyl figures tower over anything else on the market... and the trio can still be sometimes found for less than they retailed for twenty years ago! :D

Posting this 3 hours early as I have a bunch of work related meetings this morning.

It's a hard life when you're a legends class figure and have to constantly go up against the big bots.

Back to the New Age Coneheads, I may have gotten the name for Thrust wrong last time... I think Mephisto is actually Dirge, who is the next challenge.
