Thanks for all the compliments guys! :thumbs2:

Yeah, I'd love to do something like this for production... cause that would mean I'd get paid to do it! As soon as I can track down an email address for F4F I'll be sending them a portfolio... and what can we do to convince Hasbro to do a Transformers "Unleashed" line? Imagine even Beast Wars guys in a style like this... :D

So moved to Radicons... that's fine. I'm just a little confused, though. I remember specifically that the battle damaged/"Dark Awakening"/Optimus Prime head statue that was shown a while ago was put in the Fan Art section and stayed there. Just not sure what the criteria is for something to be considered Fan Art and something else to be labelled as a Kitbash .

Ah well, regardless, it's out there and people are seeing it (and diggin' it, which is always nice!)

Here's some more pics - progress shots.

That one must have been overlooked. Basically 3d = kitbash. I left a redirect in the fan art forum however.

I love the way you crafted HotRod's dymanic, protective stance. He's contorted in a realistic way, indicating his priority to protecting Daniel.

    Great job!

That's EXACTLY what I was going for, I'm so happy it's "reading" that way (when you spend so much time on something, you start to wonder if it looks like anything!!!) Thanks, you just made my day! :thumbs2:

Yup, I felt it was time to try my hand at something bigger and more detailed (TF-wise, anyway). And the idea of Hot Rod and Daniel just kinda hit and felt perfect for a statue, so that's what I did.

i'd just like to add another word of encouragement, the sculpt looks very 'you'. youve got a subtle identity going there in terms of style so keep it up.

the closest 2d approximation i can come up with is uk marvel's lee sullivan, my 2nd fave TF artist. dynamic, with lines smoother/slightly organic compared to geoff senior, my 1st fave.

and to add to that, this is probably the best job I've seen done on a TF statue/toy with its mouth open! The mouth looks very natural and cool. Not dumb like many of the Simon Furman comics expressions. Not that easy to pull off. One has to wonder why you're selling this...

I'm not into statues cause I feel that a TF should actually transform. But as far as statues go, this one is awesome.

Wow, that really does look nice! I could see that looking awesome in a Transformers Unleashed line. The pose is really dynamic.

On another note...Lazeric, I was looking at your custom pvcs today and wow they look great! Have you thought of making pvcs in a larger scale (like Mega SCF size)? I think the larger size would really allow you to put alot of detail in the figs (like this statue here). What I wouldn't give for a Mega SCF Galvatron...or many other characters for that matter. Anyway, just a thought.

Keep up the good work. I will defnitely keep an eye out for your stuff.
