TRANSFORMERS - REVENGE OF THE FALLEN rated 12A by the BBFC

Thanks to the BBFC, source for the most accurate running times before release, we know the exact running time for Revenge of the Fallen.

    149m45s

Now the only question is if this is the Theatrical running time or the IMAX running time?

I doubt the IMAX version is 30 minutes longer. 150 minutes = 2 hours and a half. Probably no more than a minute or 2 longer I think.

People seem to think 'Longer movie=better value' as if movie tickets are paid by the hour.

I actually have heard people talk before movies about run-time and complain if it is under 2-hours for an action movie. If you are going to see a visually-stunning movie I think people want more effects not necessarily a longer complicated story that needs the full time.

The last long movie that I felt actually used the time was Dark Knight which had two very distinct acts and felt almost like 2 movies back to back instead of one. Worked well.

Who knows, maybe the reviews saying it is slow in the middle is a feeling of the movie being overly long might be true... We will find out next week!

I just enjoy longer movies more as, imo, you feel more engrossed in the experience and its more fulfilling. And to be honest with the price of an IMAX ticket, Id rather not be paying for a 90-95 minute movie.

A jumbo drink and some salty popcorn. It's tough to make it through a 95 minute movie let alone a 2+hr movie.

Do indications of running times always include the ending credits or not? I thought they did. So that leaves maybe 144 minutes pure Transformers movie left :)

Speaking of 2 movies back to back, when I saw Star Wars 3, I had to go back and make sure I was watching the same movie I was about 30 minuts ago! LOL!

I hope this one doesn't drag. First one had pacing issues for me. I could have done without the whole slapstick at the house looking for the glasses.
