Preordered the game recently, digital version. Preload starts on the 26th, should unlock 9PM PST on the 28th. Can't wait. Need something to distract me from spending more on TF for the moment Currently at 30 hours on the Judgement Disc demo. The earlier build gameplay found in Episode Duscae has changed so dramatically in the final version, it's virtually unplayable now.
10 years in the making and you guys can't even get this thread on the front page come on now. Grabbed my deluxe copy at Best Buy today. Probably won't start it until the weekend though.
Played it a little. Love the music and good visuals. Dialogue is... awkward. I can't judge the controls yet since I have played so little. To be honest, it still feels too much like the demo. I'm just not crazy about the "we want this to play like Devil May Cry but without all the fun mechanics so that you still think it's an RPG" combat. There is usually multiple creatures and targeting is wonky and I feel detached controlling just one guy while the others just do their thing. I hope that it grows on me. I would really like to know where they get all that camping gear to.
I haven't seen an outright "this sucks" yet. In fact, the overwhelming majority of comments I've seen have been very positive.
A few hours in, and I'm enjoying it very much. Haven't left the first area yet, through both story reasons, and that I keep doing bounties and exploring.
Feels strange to finally be in Chapter 2 after spending close to 30 hours in Chapter 1 in the Japanese Judgement Disc demo
Beat the first chapter, took a break and watched Kingsglaive. Not really thrilled by the game yet, but that was just the starting zone so I still have hope.
I have a couple really small annoyances that probably no one would care about. I dislike having to switch from the joystick to D-Pad when navigating the menus. The other is that, graphically, theres like no reflected light. Anyways, 4hrs in and I'm still doing side quests in chapter 1. Sorry to hear that. I heard alot of people who preordered weren't getting theirs today. They sent me a tracking number Friday night, but it went in limbo because it left the Amazon, but never got to UPS. I contacted Amazon last night and they said it looked like it would be delayed to the December 1st or earlier. I kept checking the tracking cuz I knew they sometimes ship it out on the same day. So around 1AM, the tracking updated and it was out for delivery.
Finally got my copy in. Damn this game is pretty big. Just started chapter 2 after about four hours. Is there some kind of trick to beating the mines dungeon in that area? I can kill all those goblins quite easily until the boss which one hit AOEs the crap out of my team.
Chapter 13 sucks Beat the story Friday morning and just spent 2hrs with Adamantoise. More time consuming than difficult on normal difficulty. I wasn't even planning on fighting it yet. I started the mission just to check it out. 10 minutes in, I saw a small slither of health missing. So I said f*** it and just kept going. I didn't have any good weapons either so I was only doing an average of 250 damage. I wanted to get Noctis' ultimate weapon prior to the fight, but the damn monster wouldn't drop the material I needed.
Final Fantasy 15 updates will deepen the story, fix its worst chapter Final Fantasy 15's story is being patched I'll say it again: Chapter 13 sucks
Your level might be too low. When you go into the quest menu the listing will have the recommended level for the dungeon. Balouve Mines boss, Aramusha is level 52 so anywhere near that will make the fight less frustrating.
Yeah thanks. Yeah I was level 6 when I attempted it. Gonna try later in the game. My friends hadn't even gone there yet.
My g/f started playing this today. She has enjoyed it so far and I played one of the battles she was in and enjoyed the 90 seconds I played it for. I might hold of on Mafia III after I finish Rise of the Tomb Raider and start this instead.
Over 96 hrs, still going. In Ch.15 (post-game) of Final Fantasy XV. Working on the final eight hidden dungeons and the quests for the top-tier weapons. Also, this is has got to be the easiest Final Fantasy to get everyone to level 99 (Expericast + Rare Coins + 3x EXP hotel)
Probably won't do another playthrough until the story and cutscene patches arrive. Still, I'm having fun just running amok in Ch.15... I don't mind having another pair of hands along anyway.
