I'm going to predict now that this will be the first PS1 download to sell for more than $10. Just because they can.

I'll pay 10 for it, but I don't think I'd go higher than that. I won the discs, I just want it for my PSP

Direct Port, like all of the other games. One thing to note to guys who still have their original FF7 saves, or have a save on a recently started FF7 game (like I do), you can use those saves on this port. You can move those saves from PS3 to PSP and back, so don't think your game's progress is tethered to the PSP.

Sweet. One more reason to get a PS3.

Though I have to wonder how much this will affect the secondary market prices on the original game discs since it'll be readily available to buy and for much cheaper.

I was thinking about that too. I have the original discs and I saw them for sale for 100+ bucks.

Call me a dreamer, but I have avoided replaying FF7 again for years now so any remake is as new as possible. If there is never a remake, then fine, but at this point I don't feel the need to get it in another format if there's not enhancements.

    Turn Smoothing on.

also, no one really buys the PS1 games from the PSN to play on their PS3s. it's all about portability. they stick them on the PSP.
