Hi everyone,

This is my second custom, movie jazz repainted to create wheeljack. Wheeljack is one of my favorite autobot, but I've never got to own the toy, now I'm making my own. This is more of a experimental custom, I'm still learning how to paint and sculpt. Notice I've re-sculpted the headlights to look more aggressive and a minor sculpt on the grill so it looks less of a Pontiac. I originally wanted to use repro labels but I'm too broke so I painted the red and green patterns on. Bot mode is still a wip, I want to add some wings and more scars. Thanks for looking.

 

Looks real good man!!  Great job on the damage, he truly got thrashed!! 

 

i really like it.   what techniques did you use to paint on the red and green stripes? they look killer. i also like your choice of green for it

 

that is killer and for a second custom you look like you have been doing this awhile great work

I first painted the whole car in white, then I used masking tape to do the red and green. I first paint the red then the green but i think it might be easier to paint the whole roof green then paint the red and stripes on.

well you nailed it masking tape can be tricky(well for me anyway  )

 

Looks great. Did you do the first one from the original and then the final battle? I love it through, resembles the cartoon verison so much. I don't understand why they didn't use his colors in the movie.

 

nicely done man. I like how you made the head "toy" accurate as well.

 

Actually I just the regular movie Jazz, first I did a regular paint job and let it cure for a week then added the details and battle scars.

Lol, I'm glad you like it, that was my first time sculpting a head.
