Every time I see a PRID Megatron he looks odd to me. I've realized that he does so because everyone and their mother, including me, has repainted him into show accurate colors. But that's a strange thing in my eyes. Seeing the default figure as the oddity instead of the customs. So what, if any, figures do you find odd when you view the stock figure? I think Reprolabels might also cause this effect. And note, I'm not complaining, just voicing something.
Probably FE Arcee, but mainly because of how horridly misstransformed she is in promotional shots, and Airachnid for obvious reasons haha. Animated Lockdown too, as his unmodified wrists make him look like he's got carpel tunnel.
Whenever I see a pic of Classics Hardhead without the Headrobots upgrade, I do a double take. Same thing with RotF Bludgeon.
Music Label Soundwave without reprolabels added. I have them on mine, when I see the original product, it just looks naked.
Skyfall without Renderform's kit. Really didn't know what Skyjack looked like before Venksta started working on that thing, but now I can't see it without it, and the original looks like something wearing a gold mask, or that they have been hanging out with this guy: It Ain't Just Paint | The Smoking Gun
PRID Optimus. I've seen a lot of customized ones and even customized Optimus myself and then I see the original figure, which is only a little recognizable.
My customs No seriously, one thing that's odd about me is as much as I enjoy customs, I enjoy toys as they are from the factory. Most often, I get a second to customize, even if it's the same character. Third party names can trip me up sometimes, since I know that toy as THAT character, but the third party has to create a name that doesn't infringe up on the IP. I'm constantly calling my Sonicron "Sonicron", but I'm thinking "this is my 'Soundwave'." I think a part of me likes this mental back and forth - it's kinda fun With figures I've not customized, I'm constantly looking at them knowing I need to add paint apps and such. They look unfinished, but I know they're intended to be "finished".
