For me, I have had one of each of the above. I had a siege Hound combined with Six gun on a shelf over a staircase, then when it fell over, Sixgun was fine but the butterfly joint on Hound's Shoulder broke clean off so I bought the wave 3 repack.

The other was when the KBB EM Optimus arm broke during transformation.

What are some of your broken toys?

 

I have a 01rid prowl with a broken ball joint connection on his door/hip skirt.

 

BW scourge, BW spitter, BM Hammerstrike all had various broken limbs through normal play. I eventually got rid of them when I moved this last fall.

 

2*2 optimus Rubik Cube . Pissed me off enough that I popped it open and rearranged it to match .

 

I've only ever owned 2 transformers where something snapped on me:

The nose on a badly made/cheap soft plastic G1 Swoop KO that came out about 15 years ago.
The leg on my MP Hound.

I've a pretty huge collection of G1 and MP TFs at the moment, owned 3rd party figures from Fanstoys, X-Transbots, Robot Hero and iGear (remember iGear?!), CHUG figures and most of the Binaltech and Alternity lines (sold on now) and yet these are the ONLY 2 instances of breakages I've experienced as an adult collector.

the day i opened combiner wars devy my son pushed longhaul in dump truck mode and he shot across my desk like a race car, plummited down to the tire floor and snapped on of the pegs holding a wheel right off. Same set right out of the box Scrapper was missing a pin in part of his leg.

FT Swoop toppled over in my display one time and snapped the horn/ridge thingy part on his bird head broke off

 

I have the 2007 Stealth Bumblebee that I broke at least 7 or 8 years ago. How?

Well no joke, me and my friend were reinacting bits of the 2007 movie with our toys. I didn't have a Megatron at the time, so I was being him myself. Stealth Bumblebee was being used for Jazz........

...Look, he had a balljointed waist, so how the neck was I supposed to know it wasn't gonna pop out?? I had very good reason for expecting it to pop out easily, okay?!

 

When I was a kid, I got Jazz for Christmas. Imagine my disappointment when I opened him up on Christmas morning to discover that he was broken.

I had the worst luck with the Zeta Toys Aerialbots. I ended up giving up, because I would buy them and they would be missing thumbs or were broken.

Non-Transformers, I picked up the Batgirl and Oracle two pack from Arkham Knight. I decided it would be fun to put some of my Batman figures up on Christmas tree. Batgirl fell four feet to the carpet and snapped her hip. I had just opened the package and had them out for maybe an hour.

 

Discounting GPS and accidental breaks in the course of customizing...

SS Helicopter Drift. The should joint pin on the back was too tight and the clear plastic shattered when I tried to transform him. My friend got me a new one for Christmas.
Siege Apeface. The peg on his shield broke when I pushed it in too far in jet mode and tried to pull it out. I put a pin through the hole in the middle and it's holding fine.
Movie Oil Pan. Got him in a bulk lot, broke his foot in transformation. I didn't care enough about the figure to fix it.

These were all just last year...

 

One time I picked up a Transformer and it crumbled to dust in my apparently mighty grip! No, I'm not Superman.. it was a BW TM Megatron rife with GPS.

 

I guess she needed a wheelchair after that incident

 

Overall, I haven't had many break, and the ones that have, it's been a common thing.

The two that bothered me most were G1 Optimus Prime, whose leg fell apart at the hip (common issue, especially after years of play) and that stupid plastic shoulder joint on G1 Jetfire. That one is flat-out irritating because, though it doesn't affect transformation much, nearly every figure built has the same broken piece. I keep telling myself I am going to cast a replacement piece of firmer stuff, but it is around number 768 on the list of things important enough for me to really spend time doing.

 

Ive had a few here and there. Universe 1.0 Skydive came out of the package with a broken thigh, which I glued. The first voyager Powerglide had shoulder pin break off, so i had to fix that with a screw. That micromaster Superion and protoform Starscream had the gps pretty bad. I think something minor broke on my Magmatron at some point.

 

I've never directly broken a figure in my hands - Buuuut. My copy of X-Transbots Herald took a cat-induced dive and lost a door, and a shipping mishap resulted in Fanstoys Dracula arriving broken.
Herald's replacement door made it a few months ago, but it's been a few months and still no sign of Dracula's wing.

 

IF you want to talk about that, I dusted a siege prowl's leg accidentally with Translucent plastic.

 

One of my earliest toys, deluxe Animated Lockdown - the peg that connects the arms for alt mode broke. He can still transform fine of course, but now there's a gap in the rear of the car.
Animated Blackarahnia- the peg that allows you to attach the grappling hook on the arm or back broke. So now I have to keep it attached on her butt.
the soft plastic on my 2007 legends Ice Megatron snapped. I woke up one day to see half his face gone, then I try to move the arms and they snapped.

Now all those are my childhood toys. As an adult collector I haven't had any breaks, thankfully!
