I'm looking for any figures that I could buy to be used in my collection as Autotroopers. I want something that I can buy in bulk at deluxe scale to fit a Classic/Prime which means the exclusive Animated Autotroopers are out of the question. Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure someone made an Autotrooper head on Shapeways for CW Prowl, so that could be a very viable option.

Combiner Wars Rook would also work reasonably well as an Autotrooper.

Yeah those basically ^. If you like the idea of an Autotrooper rather than the look, there is a nice faceless, flying, combining Autotrooper in Alpha Bravo, colour matches at least.

FOC Jazz is pretty cheaply available on the secondary market i think and he kinda looks like the pic on tf wiki for autotrooper (prime).

If you go onto Shapeways and type Autorooper, you'll get the heads for Rook and Prowl

TR Getaway could work too. Well that is if he ends up shelfwarming anyways.

CW Rook and Alpha Bravo would work great, but they are now rare and expensive. Hell, look at Slingshot on amazon and eBay. It's sad, since I wanted to use two AB's and two Rooks for Sky Reign.

According to all the "dislike" for TR Getaway being so boring and a waste of a slot He looks like he could be a good option.

Although on release over here He is only one per case........

"Reveal the Shield" Fallback (redeco of Revenge of the Fallen Brawn). That mold actually lends itself pretty well to the imagery of a paramilitary/SWAT-style enforcement team.

I guess a strike against this choice, though, may be that it's not exactly "Classics" styled. At the same time, though, it's not exactly movie-styled either. It's just got more stylized anatomy than other options, with long forearms, an exagerrated slender waist, and a leg design that leaves some to believe that it has movie-style digitigrade legs (but they're not. There's just a harsh sweep in the leg armour where the narrow shin dramatically flares to meet the bulky thigh).

I'd thought about that, and while it makes a great shock trooper generic mold - both RtS Fallback or the probably slightly easier/cheaper to find NEST Brawn original (because RtS was not distributed well after all) - the mold has two critical flaws for the purpose that I personally found enough to disqualify it.

    1. The colossal shell kibble panels on his back. These increase the footprint of space the figure takes up vertically and would be a hindrance to army building since you'd have to weave them into tightly-packed lines if close together on the same display shelf.

    2. His legs tend to be more than slightly reverse-jointed ala 'chicken legs' such as Starscream's or HFTD Tomahawk, in order to balance the figure on account of those large kibble panels on the back. It has been a long time since I've fiddled with my Brawn but his legs certainly seem a bit more inhuman than what normally goes for a Classics/Generations design in my book - though at the same time I happily put Tomahawk in with my Neo-G1 Classics with his straight up AT-ST legs because the upper torso, arms, and head are more than enough to earn him a spot there in my opinon.

Originally at one point Botcon 2016 was going to have an army bulsing set, in their SG comics Unicron reformed soms guys into Offroad bodies with a Hoist-like head. I'm honestly really dissapointed that this never came to be. Though I think I'd prefer the use of the First Aid mold instead.

In the comic Prowl is also reformatted in Checkpoint, similar to Scourge. So one could use Energon Checkpoint.

Easier said than done. Checkpoint was part of some special exclusive 2-pack with a police color variant of Energon Rodimus.

Checkpoint was the Rodimus repaint, but I get your point. He's pricey. IMG_1831.JPG
