Exactly. This is a hobby. Fans should have fun and enjoy their hobby. There's enough stressful things in the world. Your fandom is your escape. As TF fans we have an amazing amount of options and offerings from Hasbro, Takara, and third-parties. It's disheartening to see people complain or rage at things that are trivial. No other fandom right now has this level of service from so many venders. I can understand wanting close accuracy for the thing you have nostalgia for. I'm glad there are persons like yourself out there that actively enjoy the fandom. Unfortunately, more often then not the forums are a wall of whiny entitlement.
This is the best Voyager Optimus Why its better than Classics: - Much less arm kibble - It took the classic's wheel kibble and shoved in his torso - Ankle joints - Better knee joints YES!
Right. I just get confused by these things when people don’t know cause it was front page for ages in two different ways.
Hands down the best option for a G1 classic/ silhouette accuracy style for Optimus, rutsack and all. This will look way more accurate in a setup meant to mimic the original crew. MP10 is still badass, especially with add ons like hands and the rifle upgrade. He cant do what this one can though. He\'s starting to look better with the PotP lineup. For those collectors, he\'ll look nice next to OPax if you don\'t sell\'em for the upgrade! Prime\'s rutsack reminds me of the GI Joe Battle Talking Commanders!
Pretty sure he means rucksack, which is another word for backpack The word originally comes from German, but is sometimes used in English as well.
while Siege is the first to actually be able to make a case, i feel it is still undeniably worse. – Kibbley backpack – armpit tires (Classics kinda has those too, but they seem to tuck away less noticeably) – weird smokestacks – overly G1 (as in, it aesthetically seems more like a poor man's Masterpiece then a "Generations' figure, but I hank that is also what the line is going for) but the unforgivable sin that may keep me from buying it: – that weird awful alt mode that doesn't know what it wants to be: too Earthy to be Cybertronian, to Cybertronian to be Earth-based. The goofy double headlights, the transparent blue grill because... reasons? plus, being a modern-era Voyager I'd anticipate some really poor QC and thin-walled, hollowed out limbs. (Did PotP improve on the QCs at the voyager scale? because while most deluxes I've gotten have been decent-to-great, i just got TR Blitzwing and that mold is totally awesome but also a total QC disaster, possibly the worse i've seen: NOTHING holds together, and parts fall off if you look at it sideways?) Classics (well, specifically Henkei or Evolution because Classics had a pretty tacky paint job) Prime still reigns in my book, for the alt mode alone. Points to Siege for a proper Ion Cannon finally (how many CHUG primes did it take to finally get a semi-decent version of his iconic weapon) and some pretty good proportions (upper arms are a tad short, but that's true of Classics as well)
@artiepants – Kibbley backpack Compared to what? It's flat. – armpit tires (Classics kinda has those too, but they seem to tuck away less noticeably) I just posted a comparison pic, and the tires on the classic mold stick out from the torso noticably while Siege has them nicely embedded. I like the look, it acknowledges his alt in the right way. – weird smokestacks Yep weird, but I'm over it. – overly G1 (as in, it aesthetically seems more like a poor man's Masterpiece then a "Generations' figure, but I hank that is also what the line is going for) Well if you can't afford a $300+ figure than I guess you're poor. This will more than placate me. At least the Transformation will be easier and we'll be more able to buy variations. – that weird awful alt mode that doesn't know what it wants to be: too Earthy to be Cybertronian, to Cybertronian to be Earth-based. The goofy double headlights, the transparent blue grill because... reasons? Weird but I like it because of how solid and complete it looks. plus, being a modern-era Voyager I'd anticipate some really poor QC and thin-walled, hollowed out limbs. (Did PotP improve on the QCs at the voyager scale? Hungurr was a fantastically built Voyager and this Prime has no hollows from any side, not even in the upper leg. When you see that pic you'll realize they made this with love. Public service announcement this is the hand painted proto the final version is not soooo worn.
