Rodimus is looking really good. It amazes me they actually managed to fit a matrix chamber in his chest! I feel bad for the people thinking he\'s overpriced or a hot rod retool, as they\'re gonna miss an amazing figure! It even looks Roddy is coming with the Star Saber!

 

What are the chances this gets recast / repainted in all gold and sold as Primus?

Large Leader Class would be more appropriate. That is not $80 of value. It’s just not.

 

I demand deep analysis about this feature! This requires an explanation. Only MP hound went so far as to put hinges on wheels.

 

From what I read, the hub cap can "slide" into a position to make him more accurate to his cartoon appearance when in robot mode.

The wheel pushes up into the shoulder, the wheel front hinges so it can overlap the wheel arch.

 

I've said it once and I will say it... maybe a few more times but I am still worried about Roddy's shoulder range. Otherwise he looks like a Masterpiece. Well, a cleaner, not as panelly masterpiece.

I appreciated in the article about Skids, talking about both understanding that segment of the community that was not a fan of the "current trend" of hyper toon accuracy, as well as pricing. Curious to see what the pricepoint will be (unless it's already been mentioned and I missed it...which is entirely possible).

 

Has anyone, at any time, been able to take a photo of the Top Gun TF crossover figure that make it look anywhere near good? These Figure-King guys seem to really get how to pose and show off the best features of Transformers, but they are completely handicapped by that hunk of gray-ish plastic.

What about repaints? Have there been any decent custom jobs? Mine is going to sit in a box, in another box, under a pile of boxes ...

Masterpiece Skids has had my attention since the prototype was first shown sometime ago. However, these two sentences made my interest levels spike. I’ve wanted to get into G1 masterpiece collecting for awhile but the new hyper cartoon accurate trend and ridiculous pricing have kept me from getting the new figures. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for that pre-order button for Skids.

 

The were really close to surpass the Leader budget and did those hinges to get it to Commander budget?  

Would have preffered a little paint on the rims rather than that barely noticeable feature.

 

Why in the HELL are the rims on Rodimus Prime NOT PAINTED? 80.bucks for a figure no bigger than Prime with a chunky trailer and they can't paint the rims???
