I thought Optimus was know as Convoy in Japan. The red text above him reads Optimus Prime. Does he sometimes go by optimus as well?

I could see Hoist and Ironworks shelfwarming badly, not that I've any problem with either (I've ordered the entire wave with some duplicates).

 

The Raiden Project intrigues me more than I could say Head On! If that actually ends up as a Masterpiece line\'s first official combiner, that is worth the salt. I could think Raiden could not use the Generations Combiner System at most since the designs will be either Deluxes or Voyagers to compare with say Devastator. I also think adding Plarail compatibility is just not good enough since the scale of the Trainbots would result in larger figures over say Shinkalion.

I really like that group shot. Cliffjumper looking great as usual. Honestly, this whole wave is looking pretty good as a set. There are some weaker entries but overall, they look nice together.

 

I wonder if they are actually making that Optimus? So many different color schemes going around

 

That's my new classics Prime. And Wheeljack, maybe.

 

They all look real sweet! Maybe Wheeljack\'s sides are a little boxy for my taste, but I\'ll still buy him the first chance I get. As much as I love Earthrise Prime form what I\'ve seen of him, I hope you can move his wheel kibble out of the way a little bit so it doesn\'t hinder his waist swivel. That and I wish it\'d come with swappable heads so you can switch between blue and yellow eyes at will.

 

Hope with the release date in Japan being January 2020, that we will expect the next wave of studio series here soon.

 

What sucks is that the version of Prime I want is not happening, Yellow Eyes + Blue Hands

 

I wanna see Earthrise Megatron.

 

I’m getting him, but man every new picture of this prime makes him look weirder and weirder.

Those proportions are so strange with that super short torso and crazy long legs. It’s like a really short person wearing high heels.

 

I am SO ready to see this Optimus in person.

I know it won't last, but for now this YEGH/BEBH back and forth is more annoying than FIBRIR/FIRRIB...

I guess there's also that slim vote of YEBH or PotP's BEGH.

 

What I don't understand is why they'd chose to mold the chest in clear just for two little lights rather than cast it in the correct green, just paint the goddamn lights and be done with it. It's by far the lesser of two evils.

 

And blue arm parts. Which is much worse in my opinion.

 

Why do you think those will shelf-warm? I mean, other than the names not having the word "Optimus" or "Prime" somewhere!  

I'd honestly love it if fans would consider adding some of these odd characters to their shelves... rather than sit here and excitedly squeal at owning yet-another Optimus Prime.  

No way it's MP.   I don't see it happening at all. Hopefully, it's deluxe scale (and it likely does use CW molds), but I wouldn't be surprised if it was legion scale. I'm not seeing TakaraTomy do any original stuff (other than slight retools), and their last original bots (Transformes Go?) were Energon-combiner awful. My expectations are suitably low.  

I don't.   He'll be another tank. Woo.   I have given up on Hasbro doing Megatron any G1 justice. They just keep fiddling with other designs that don't work, imo.
