I would care if I liked how they looked at all. I've kind of stopped buying Hasbro stuff thats not smaller than a deluxe because they're too consumed by their own gimmicks usually.
Correct. There will probably be a box set eventually of anime-colored Dinobots, but it'll probably be an exclusive, expect to pay out the ass for it.
I think I'll be using Sludge and Slag as legs. Triceratops knee pad for the win! and with Stegosaurus plates on the are Volcanicus will have one hell of a tackle.
If our sales were significant enough to matter to Takara they wouldn't be changing their model to align with the Hasbro releases.
Just saw this...that looks cool and probably adds a lot of stability, but what to do about those abs then???dang...
Still no interest until we see the terrorcons. Not bad though I guess. I mean, ya gotta pander to the Dinobots fans first.
Takara to Japanese TF collectors: In unity with our American counterpart that use one third less or more paint apps than us, we present our newest Transformer line ... NPAYBH UNITE (try saying this as loud as you can in your head or out loud in your best Engrish). (roughly translated from Japanese ... No Paint Apps You've Been Hosed)
Don't like this trend, it was kinda neat having the choice between vintage toy decoes on the Hasbro combiners and animation accurate decoes on the Takara Unite Warriors Hoping somehow Takara will change their minds when it comes to the Terrorcons...
Maybe I'm wrong, I don't have any yet, but is the upper back panel on Takara Slag grey instead of black on Hasbro? Saw it in store and the black really threw me off aside from it not opening.
I think, for me, Swoop and Sludge will make good arms with decent looking shoulder kibble, while Snarl and Slag will make fairly clean legs. No matter how you pose it, Sludge's head/neck just looks like a thigh penis in leg mode to me.
I feel like Volcanicus looks good when his arms are doing literally anything except being straight down. Makes his shoulders look less broad.
Is it just me or does Submarauder have a screw on his chest instead of a pin? That's interesting if they're going back on that.
Don’t hold your breath, if they didn’t change the Dinobots or Jet Brothers they’re sure as hell not gonna do anything with the Terrorcons.
I was holding out hope *maybe* they'd give the Terrorcons the same colored hands...but yeah that's not looking too promising.
Yes, send as many complaints as you can so we can all feel better knowing that Takara is ignoring you guys officially and not just by coincidence. Interestingly enough, Grimlock's instructions call that out as how you make the combiner feet, too, and I don't remember the extra torso bits option being shown off at all in those same instructions. It's all sort of an extra trick the designers added in to make use of the new hand parts in different ways.
