Well, California has anti-SLAPP laws so this could go very bad for the former VPs. Especially because if GS truly is guilty of tax evasion, those two probably participated in it. I took a look at this company Imaginary People Inc and it's not doing much right now, though another company called Super Nice People LLC has the same address and authorized agent. Probably nothing but found it interesting. I think that's what the former VPs are hoping for. Reading through the comments of the articles, it seems people lean more heavily that these guys are revenging rather than seeking justice. Though it is worth keeping an eye on to see if knowledge of this lawsuit spreads to other media outlets. Doubt it though unless it's a slow news day.
Or a re-election year, I think a certain amount of government officials in the 90's jumped hard on the somewhat-similar video game controversies at the time solely to up their own poll numbers.

I was most interested in Yankee Musashi but that mysterious samurai figure (I've no idea who she is or what franchise she's from) is quite impressive. Just noticed the dates of the event too. Japan just lifted its state of emergency travel restrictions and I might've been interested in attending but other things came up. Bad timing, after all.
