Don't Saber and Saber Alter have something similar with their armor/dresses as well?

They've got flexible plastic poofy sleeves. But not that shirt design.

That actually sounds like a fun anime to get into. Your description on the character alone makes me want to preorder/purchase Touma.

Her name's Suruga Kanbaru, from the anime/novel series Bakemonogatari.

    And it's actually a monkey/gorilla arm (sorta...).

You see, Bakemonogatari translates to "Ghostories", and the series deals in excising animalistic spirits from its eclectic cast. Ostensibly. In reality, it plays out more like TV Tropes: the Series, with the characters enjoying surreal, genre-savvy conversations with each other, paired with an equally surreal art-style. And, as the title indicates, the author so enjoys his wordplay (the title works in both Japanese and English, for example, being a portmanteau of "Bakemono" = ghost and "Monogatari" = story. And that's only the tip of the iceberg. Suruga here is responsible for a triple-meaning pun). It's a trippy, enjoyable series, as far as "talking head" animes go.

Speaking of Kanbaru, the figma blog has posted an entry on her. She'll be up for preorder tomorrow at noon Japan time. 3500yen retail, so probably about 26-2700 or so on AmiAmi after discounts.

Also, as well as the accessories we saw in the magazine scans (basketball, alternate arm, usual array of hand options and alt expressions), she also comes with a raincoat and a Rainy Devil face:

(however, it notes that the raincoat is still being worked on, and the final article might differ from what's shown).

There aren't any finished pics of Figma Madoka are there?

I really wanna see how she'll turn out. After finishing the series I think I may cave on her...

Man. Broke down and preordered Robocop from HLJ. Could not resist what looks to be the definitive action figure version of one of my favorite movie characters.

I'm actually kind of surprised that it was released by Figma and not Revoltech though. Not that I'm complaining...

Too bad she doesn't come with Araragi's entrails...

Actually, it's probably better this way...

Got Hitagi and Kos-Mos today. Havent opened a new figma in ages :D . But it does remind me. Why are their sticky tapes so annoying? It leaves really annoying residue on the boxes (yes I do collect them and leave them in the boxes when I'm not messing with them. It makes a nice display on my wall :lol ). Well just opened up Kos-Mos. It blows the Motion Revive version away. TWO Gattling guns over the MR's one. And of course, theres the effect parts. She is damn near perfect :D . The translucent hair also looks much nicer than the MR's crappy painted hair.

I do the same! Glad I'm not the only one who keeps the packaging :)  I do wish I could afford KOS-MOS though. From what a lot of people are saying, she seems worth it.

Ok, so, complaint about Rei here...

She comes with Shinji's tape player, but it's attached to her hand. It should be separate or another should be included.

    Why?

Because they give her the face that recreates the determination from the final battle in 2.22. She has the tape player either next to her or tied to her leg during that scene. It's...kind of like they went half way with that.

Small complaint, I know it's kind of dumb. But Mari and Asuka went SO far with the cool stuff.

You know you're addicted when you're on vacation and the first chance you get at wi-fi, you search for toys. Anyway, the gorilla armed chick is up for preorder at amiami
