Watching Argentina vs Australia now…with the former leading 2-0.

In the earlier match, the US were knocked out 3-1.

... and then there were 14 countries.

Final score Argentina vs Australia 2-1.
We were promised a national holiday should the Aussies win the tournament. Haha.

Watched the replay. The US can hold their heads high. They had good scoring opportunities. Such a young team too.

The tv commentator couldn't help himself to the puns when it came to Dutch player Timber.
    Timber has fallen.
    Timber got cut down.

Brazil 4, South Korea 1! Brazil put on an incredible display of their attacking capabilities but I’m still not convinced by them. IMO the French have a more solid “spine” but I must admit I enjoy watching the men in yellow play.

Urgh. Slept in & totally missed the Croatia vs Japan match. 2am kickoff at my end is not ideal.

A mismatch. Total domination by Brazil. Quite frankly, a little off putting having to sit through. It's like a matchup of a senior high school bully going up against a junior high lightweight. There goes the lunch money.

Incredibly boring game. That last penalty kick was the least World Cup-worthy way of ending a game.

I hope you didn’t watch Portugal crushing Switzerland.

Great to see an African nation Morocco make it to the Quarter finals. But yeah, not the best game to stay up to watch.

All three Asian confederate nations eliminated from Round of 16.

I did. Didn't expect such a blowout. Oddly enough, found it entertaining, unlike the Brazil vs South Korea match. Very cliche, but Switzerland's defence had more holes than a Swiss cheese.

No point in watching, you know Brazil is going to take it.

Yeah, IMO Spain no longer have the players (e.g. Xavi) to play like they used to.

Well, that was disappointing match. I’m glad for Croatia. Argentina’s the last one representing S.A.
    0-0 so far.

Never underestimate Croatia. Germany did in 1998, Argentina & England did in 2018, and now Brazil in 2022.

Since their 1998 World Cup debut after gaining independence from Yugoslavia, they have reached the final four on the 3 occasions out of possible 7 World Cup tournaments. Very impressive for a country with a population of only four million.

    Luka Modric is ageless...

    Bravo Vatreni, idemo dalje! :)
