Thats the spirit! I hope Lithuania wins the bronze. They played very well in the tourney but had the bad luck to be up against Team USA on 9/11 where they would be massively fired up to do there nation proud.

I hope for that too.either way everyone will still be happy .we had 7th twice , so that's a big victory too.we needed to buy a ticket to play here , because in 2009 we played terrible in European cup..
here it was different. We have beaten Spain,Argentina and showed that they aren't so scary.we lost for USA ,though. oh well , the day will come someday when we'll be the first(I hope) .and we all will be waiting for that day.maybe next year we will be first in Europe.we will be playing at home so we will try

on the other note today you are fighting too.Turkey won't give up .it 's going to be a tough match IMO

    edit:starts!

Congrats USA, way to keep the dominance rolling. Props to Lithuania as well, way to establish yourselves as a legit basketball power.

Now if only Canada & China could get their programs off the ground. :mad

What a great game to watch, and a great moment for USA basketball. So much for it being a B-team. Great effort by Turkey... even with the other big names for the Olympics in 2012, I think there's no guarantee we're going to get the gold. The international game was a lot of fun to watch.

Admittedly, part of my enjoyment came from the fact the core of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, tore it up in the tournament. A lot of people called me crazy when I said Westbrook would be a star by his third year in the league, but he's on track to proving me right. =D

This was the USA's C-team, I'd argue. USA basketball dominance appears to be back.

congrats USA .Turkey too.silver isn't bad

edit: lol. i just compared the way I was writing when I won , and the way you were writing after you won.maybe it because of the young age.

Well, I must say that I am amazed at our team. I personally didn't expect our team to beat Serbia but we won 89-88 (I may be wrong but I think was something like this). It was obvious that USA would win but silver medal ain't bad!

Turkey was very impressive, they should have a good run at the Olympics in a couple of years.

^^Oh yeah, respect to Turkey too! Be proud of that silver!

Sorry I didn't follow this tournament too closely, but how did Turkoglu play? Looks like he put up some solid stats. If only that jerkass played half as good for Toronto last year...that whiney baby.
