Recieved my Sci-Fi 03 sets some time ago and they are very nice, great detail.
I'm not using any of the clear roof top pieces so if anyone is interested in buying them let me know.
I need to recoup some of the shipping charges as that was a lot lol.

Yeah shipping was a beast more than the set cost for me, plus FedEx hit me with a customs charge after the fact as well.

Ouch, luckily I didn't have any custom charge but shipping was way too much.
I'm glad I got them as they also make a great backdrop for photo shoots.

Finally decided to order one of the sets. I was originally looking at the Ark exterior set since that's how I usually set up my backgrounds for pics. Since I have some chain base stuff already I decided to see if the sizes where relatable. seems like the sci-fi sets are 10.6" wide with three plates which is pretty close to a Zeta plate lengthwise at 11". I did the setup pictured below to see how the size of the ark exterior set (six pates wide) looked in pics. That got me thinking about building the sci-fi sets six plates wide instead of a corner arrangement. The floor will only be two plates deep but I plan to piggy back it on my black zeta set so it won't be that bad if I break frame. When I get it in hand I'll show what I ended up with.

Definitely need a spudger with these things... The 90 degree segments and ceiling are necessary for structure. Would have liked the panels to be a bit heartier since it bows a bit under it's own weight. Had a couple upright panels left over, could have made this wider with two more floor panels.

Can anyone speak to the quality of the Sci-fi 06 set? It's one of two left in stock, but I worry about that clear plastic's durability. I ask because I'm thinking about ordering four or five sets to serve as my review area.

If sci-fi 06 is the purple one I can attest to it being good. I joined my two sets together

Oh the star wars one, right no I don't have that one but I'm sure it won't be any worse than the other sets.

A little trick for a Detolf shelf build. I make the last row on the right a separate build. It's easier to fit in the detolf that way.

Bought the Desert Base set intending to do a smaller build to fit in my detolf. I realized as I was building that one of the pieces that fill the gap between upright panels extended past where i wanted the build to end. I had a clencher moment searching for a piece I could swap in and there does happen to be one that works. :)
