thought I started a thread on this already. This looks good. I am familiar with the play which won a ton of Tony awards including one for Viola Davis and one for Denzel Washington. Take a look at the clip from the Broadway play I rarely hear applause like this in the middle on a monologue. Now here comes the movie which of course has Oscar hopes especially for a Viola Davis (my favorite actress who is long overdue for some accolades). Denzel is directing though. You have Fences, Loving, Birth of a Nation, Hidden Figures and more that I'm sure I am forgetting. Thoughts on Fences or the more diverse Oscar contenders this year?
