Nah, she's been female ever since she was first released through e-hobby. I remember that being a big deal back when she got released since there weren't very many female Transformers at the time and even less with an actual figure. You might be thinking of another character as there was a crapload of female Transformers that became female that way... Treadbolt and Spacewarp from the Unicron Trilogy are the first two that spring to mind along with RiD Nightcruz.
Yes and no. I know her BW:Uprising version is definitely a fembot but I seem to recall the Wiki mentioning that Transmutate's gender is somewhat ambiguous and the original script uses genderless pronouns, so they might be non-binary. Not that I mind counting them as a fembot. I see, thanks for setting me straight as you say there are a crapload of those ladies so easy mistake to make, especially as she had a G1 toy (kinda) and they didn't even make a toy of the fembots they definitely had back during G1 ... I also realised while looking at my TR Sentinel Prime that he actually his shuttle mode has an almost perfect transformation scheme for Nautica... shame he's a size class too big to scale well with Windblade and Chromia but the way his legs become the front of the shuttle and his arms end up on the side of his shuttle mode is quite similar to the transformation shot in MtMTE/LL. The main difference would be her chest would end up on the top of her sub mode as when you compare robot and alt mode her chest clearly forms the cockpit of her alt mode in the comic. ... Edit: Also I realised this morning that Megatronia has another clever reference to Megatron - the Combined Torso mode has dark purple on the combiner head and pink on the parts which form the combiner chest, presumably mirroring the same colourscheme change from Megatron to Galvatron with the pink parts reflecting how her four guards have lighter shades of colours associated with core Decepticons.
That second pic Love Road Rage holding Moonracer and I see Windblade lost her head! :O Is that a version of Strika on the far left? Others I can name off the top of my head but I'm not 100% sure on her.
That is Strika indeed! It's (I'm pretty sure) the only official figure she ever got, the BM Deluxe (there is that MMC Titanika, which looks amazing, but she goes for crazy prices in the 2nd hand market so I think I've all but given up on ever picking that one up...).
You see too small. He looks like the perfect femboy repurpose. I only have Warrior Strongarm but I'll receive Cyberverse Ultra Class Slipstream in two weeks. Really looking forward to it!
The anime buns on the robot head made me think it was a female. I'm calling the robot a female anyway.
