Only if it's a Jaegertron movie where he easily beats up femmebots from both factions.
If they made them sisters and Blackarachnia leaves the Deceptions and joins the Autobots, that could be interesting...
That's already Roulette and Shadow Striker's whole character dynamic though.
The only vaguely good thing Airachnid ever did was give a decent design for an Earth mode Blackarachnia and a dumb-but-workable name for a non-beast Blackarachnia should any future writer ever want to use her outside of any Beast era anyway.
That would have to be a Comedy Central series.
I don't think a movie with an all-female cast would be a good idea, especially this day and age, where pretty much anything with a female lead is bound to be considered "feminist propaganda" by anyone who isn't a feminist. Not only that, but some might consider the idea of a woman leading an all-female team sexist, as if the writers are saying women should only be allowed to boss around other women, which would stir up even more controversy. If I was to write this movie, I'd definitely thrown some guys into the mix. My cast would probably be something like this:
Elita One (Jennifer Hale)
Chromia (Laura Bailey)
Lifeline (Kari Wahlgren)
Quickslinger (Tara Strong)
Windblade (Erica Lindbeck)
Tachyon (original character) (Jason Spisak)
Showdown (Steven Barr)
Hot Shot (Robbie Daymond)
Autobot Soldiers (various voice actors)
Strika (Patricia Drake)
Obsidian (Paul Dobson)
Lugnut (David Kaye)
Cyberwarp (Brooke Goldner)
Flatline (Robert Englund)
Deadheat (James Remar)
Mismatch (Peter Lurie)
Vehicon Troopers (various voice actors)
They are not the same. Blackarachnia is a complex individual in both her major incarnations. Airachnid is a generics Decepticon personality with a spider twist that rips on Blackarachnia.
I'm one of the few people on this site who doesn't hate Airachnid, and even I can't argue with that.
I mean I meant that there'd be no point in using both at once because Airachnid was just a hollow rippoff of Blackarachnia, definitely didn't mean to imply that Airachnid was anything more than a single-characteristic sadist villain or even anywhere near as faceted as BA.
Did I miss the phase of Blackarachnia’s character arc where she was a remorseless serial killer? And was there a season of Prime that had Airachnid learn to be a good guy through the unconditional love of an Autobot?
That reads like one of the leaked emails from Amy Pascal.
No, I think what Applejacktimus is saying (mainly because I share the sentiment) is that Airachnid was a cheap attempt to have a fully evil spider transformer in the vein of Blackarachnia without the complex moral dilemmas that made Blackarachnia a good character.
It's pretty obvious from how she only ever used her heli mode TWICE whereas she spent half her total screentime in extendy legs form to the point it legit would have been better for her to just be a goddamn spider instead of a helicopter mode she barely used. Not to mention all the spider webs she made which, again, had nothing to do with helicopters but everything with spiders.
Oh, I am unfamiliar with those characters. Are they from the IDW comics?
They were repaints of RID Sideburn in the first Universe line. IDW used one of them, but the 'sisters on opposite sides' thing originates from either their toy bios or some older comic.
I guess Cyberverse tossed all that aside and used Shadow Striker on her own with a completely different origin, so it wouldn't be unheard of to change their character.
I'd much rather see more female Transformers integrated into the cast than separating them from the guy robots because of gender-based marketing. Have them just exist alongside the guy robots and write them as compelling characters.
Alternatively, if we're talking about a character focused spin off in the same vein as Bumblebee (Arcee: The Movie?), I would be all for it.
Those two are among many examples of interesting charcters who have a lot of potential, but fail to live up to it due to either limited screen time, bad writing, censorship, or a number of other factors. I'd love to see them as recurring characters in a future cartoon series, along with Elita One, Bluestreak, Steeljaw (R.I.D. 2015), Meltdown (cancelled Universe game), and Punch/Counterpunch, just to name a few.
A Double Spy movie has a lot of potential...
It's a bit of a pandering concept, but if you want it remotely plausible, just make it a 1v1 fembot movie. I'd pick Arcee and Airachnid. Arcee could maintain her BB design, but there's a lot you could do with Airachnid in terms of visual style.
Keyword there is "hollow."
I would love to see another Fembot episode after the Search for Alpha Trion episode. I am hoping their fate can be seen in a well-written series 2.5.
exactly what i was thinking but i think they would make Windblade movie.
