I was at a fed ex shipping store to ship out a package and wanted to insure the box. But they said they don't insure any boxes? Well my item costs 450.00 so I wanted protection for both buyer and seller. They said none is avialble so this is just way too risky. Does anyone know for sure if fed ex has insurance options?
IIRC, they cover losses up to $5000 automatically, and nothing over that...or at least they did. Also package tracking is part of the deal. I could be wrong, I haven't sent anything through them since having to compensate for the many ridiculous mistakes they made when I lived in a remote town of 200 people (seriously, the possibly stoned driver couldn't find my building, the only one on the block, WHILE HE WAS LOOKING AT IT). --Moony
What's IIRC? Is that fed ex or another shipping company? I'm wondering if it's just my fed ex saying they don't cover losses of any kind because people sometimes try to scam them. So does this mean if any package gets damage it's tuff luck for the sender?
FedEx does not provide insurance coverage. This is from their site: FedEx Express Terms and Conditions and FedEx Ground Tariff
i HATE internet acronyms. i'm sorry, but, even if i'm using my phone or whatever, i'll spell out the word or phrase i want to use. anyways, why not use UPS?.. i never liked using fed ex.
Ironically i just got a mini fridge delivered by fed ex toayad the outbox looked like they used it for a tackling dummy luckily inthe inner box was well protected anything was damaged.
