It's important to me to get figures that are as screen accurate as possible. Now that the FEs are back, I was wondering what you guys thought about which version is more screen accurate for Cliffjumper and Starscream. I'm already of the opinion that the FE version of Bulkhead and Prime and the RID version of Arcee are better, but I'd welcome debate on them as well.

I find the normal TFP Cliffjumper to be better than the FE version. When it comes to Starscream, FE all the way.

Personally, I would say FE Starscream and FE Cliffjumper. I say FE Starscream because because he doesn't have the aweful MechTech weapon the PRID version has and the FE looks better standing next to PRID Voyager Megatron.

FE Cliffjumper looks better to me overall in design and face and looks closer to being show accurate, especially since he has the hand blasters when you flip the hands around unlike the PRID version. But a word of caution on the Second run of FE Terrorcon CJ and GDO CJ there have been some QC reports that the plastic is brittle especially the part that holds the horns in vehicle mode. Might be better to track down the Takara FE or Candian FE release that did not have the QC issue.

First Edition Starscream is more show-accurate than RID Screamer, because not only does he look better, he also scales better with RID Megatron. As for Cliffjumper, the First Edition mold is the superior (though the RID mold is what I use and functions very well beneath Megatron's foot).

FE's of Bulkhead, Prime, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper & Starscream are far more screen accurate. Arcee is up for debate, and obviously the RID version of Vehicon nails it far better than the FE.

I prefer FE Cliffjumper for the accurate weapons. PRID CJ is more accurate in the chest and legs while FE is more accurate with the arms and weapons. For Starscream I'd go with FE for the more accurate scale.

On CJ, I think the FE is better. I'm honestly really in love with the mold. When I got the GDO Cliff, I was just amazed. Then I picked up the Zombie CJ at TRU shortly there after and loved it more. Then my wife orders for me the original FE CJ (early Christmas present, since I got her a big one I couldn't hide) and its just perfect! I had the PRID one so I gave the FE the hammer (looks awesome).

On SS, I actually have to disagree with everyone else. The FE does scale better in robot mode per the show. But he is a thin robot that turns into a freaking jet! Those aren't small. Also, the PRID face is more accurate, as is the one missle on the arm. I don't use the Powerizer weapon.

I will say, you CAN put the PRID head on the FE body, but the socket for the ball joint it way too big so it is going to flop around unless you can make is smaller (or the ball bigger).

So, with SS, I use the PRID one but play up his hunch. His legs are bent, his body is leaning forward and his head is as low on the joint as it can go while still being able to look forward. This makes him, as his head, the same height of the deluxe but keeping the overall size.

Starscream: FE, mostly for scale. RiD has a much better vehicle mode and has single missiles, unlike the FE.

Cliffjumper: FE, all the way. RiD's actually a bit better in the lower legs, but the head, arms, chest, and weapons are MUCH more accurate in FE.

BB, Prime, Bulkhead are FE, no debate.

    Vehicon is obviously RiD.

Arcee... actually RiD. The chestplate is more... chest-plate-y, rather than looking like part of a motorcycle, and the smaller size scales better. Shame about the weapons.

The RID version has a slightly more accurate vehicle mode in that it captures the sharp angles and streaming curves of the jet more accurately, although like the FE it still has kibble underneath. The arms on the RID are more accurate, however their articulation is ABYSMAL (Elbow joints belong in elbows, not forearms, Hasbro) and the coloring on the RID is worse and less accurate, plus it has that weird leg kibble. Overall, I think the FE is a better figure, scales better, and is cheaper to boot now that it is being re-released.

Everyone in FE except Vehicon and Arcee are better for screen accuracy. FE Cliffjumper doesn't have a weird head sculpt,a cheating chest or long and awkward arms + he has in arm cannons, ftw. More accurate for sure.

As for Starscream, it's definitely DEFINITELY the FE version. Just look him and you'll see--and best of all, he actually fits with the rest of the figures isntead of being taller than Megatron which is just too damn silly for me to look at.

And just for notes--RiD Arcee is better for screen accuracy, but FE one is better as a figure. The RiD one uses a lot of cheating to get the better looking result, but the transformation is so simple and lazy. I appreciate and love the FE's transformation (which leaves waist articulation in a way) and uses parts of the motorcycle better (headlight chest and flappable seat so she can sit down).

What? RiD Starscream's arms have excellent articulation, plus balljointed hands. You can put them in almost any pose.
