My favorite theme song is hands-down “Transformer V” from Victory. It sounds great in Japanese and even better in English. My second-favorite (which I voted for since “Transformer V” wasn’t on the poll) is the Lion theme song from the ‘86 movie, and my third pick is the TFP theme.
I'm not too familiar with the JP side of Transformers so I went with shows I'm familiar with/aired internationally(as far as I know). I'll have to give it a listen!
This is tough... Some of the ones I like are... 1. Season 2 G1 2. Season 3/4 G1 3. Headmasters 4. Beast Wars I think Victory is great, too. I suppose I would go with Headmasters first, followed by Season 3. I don't consider, "Arrival to Earth," a theme in the sense of the other ones. It's one score piece out of many in a movie and not a theme in itself.
True, that's why "Autobots" from the films' score is there as well. It's just the piece most synonymous with the Bay films and if they had a theme Arrival to Earth would definitely be it for me.
G1 s2 opening, 86 movie theme, beastwars, victory, headmasters and Arrival To earth. Those are the peak songs imo. I would say it counts. It's reprised numerous times in the movies, even in rotb, they use that theme. The Autobot theme may be a varient of it, so not sure which you would want to classify, arrival or the autobots, but with how much it's used, I'd say that is the live action movie theme. That is the song outside the linkin park stuff people think when you say transformer movie songs.
I would have to say Animated, but the G1 S2 theme is a banger, and by far my favorite G1 opening theme.
Lion's theme for TFTM for me please, great piece of cock rock that remains a high point, can't stand things like Prime and the WFC's boring droning intros, it's just noise to me.
It is an iconic piece from the movies, yes, but I still don't consider it a theme. To me, there's a difference between an iconic score and a theme. "Arrival to Earth," would be the former; Lion's Transformers song would be the latter, because it's the actual theme song of the 1986 movie. "Arrival to Earth," has been reused in other movies, but it's not the theme of the movie it first appeared in, nor is it the theme of any film it was reused in.
Fair enough. I recently found an orchestral cover of that with the vocals intact. It was pretty epic.
The main theme of Armada, even more so the into to the Unicron Battle? Get rid of the stupid human dialogue and you have a hella amazing theme.
G1 Season 2 will always be my favorite. Not only do I think it's the coolest of the G1 themes, but it's the one with the most nostalgia attached for me. The animation that plays over it is also great. I also love Animated's theme song.
Fr tho, it has no right, yet EVERY RIGHT, to go so hard. I haven't stopped listening to it for three days.
