    Who's yours and why?

My personal favorite's Sideways (who is the most underused character in any fiction). When ROTF came out I didn't get to see it but I did play both the Wii and DS adaptations of it. I liked the Audi, and as a kid I always liked Decepticons more. You got to play as Sideways a lot in the Wii game, with missions where you had to outrun Bumblebee or infiltrate the NEST base to revive Megatron.
Terrible movie appearance, but they at least made something more of him in the games which was what made him my favorite

    G1 Mindwipe.
I always felt he could have been a really cool non-treatcherous Tarantulas-type character if the Sunbow had continued beyond the Rebirth.
He looked like a clever, loyal and resourcefull guy who could have made a lot of trouble for the Autobots and helped Galvatron subdue the Nebulans with his powers.

There is no way in the world I could pick a single character.

In terms of favorite specific characters, I'd say G1 Galvatron and Beachcomber and AoE Lockdown. There are more than these, but these would be my top 3 if I had to pick.

In terms of characters conceptually, I'd say Punch-Counterpunch, although Sideways and Mindwipe are also interesting choices conceptually, so those are good choices on the part of those above me.

At the moment it's Snapdragon then followed by that is Soundwave. I have others but I'd be here forever explaining which and why so that wouldn't be fun. So to keep it simple at the moment those 2 characters but then my tastes change from one to another.

Ironhide. I'm a John Wayne fan. Plus, G1 Ironhide was my first TF, so that makes him double special to me.

Bumblebee. I got into Transformers when I was 10, around the time of Transformers Animated and the first live-action movie, so I was decently exposed to good old 'Bee. I loved how loyal and courageous he was in the movies, blowing his cover to save Sam and Mikaela from hitting the pavement even though he knew he'd be captured. While I preferred Movie 'Bee, Animated 'Bee was always an entertaining character as well, and being a kid, I could relate to his spunky immaturity. When I watched Transformers: Prime and read the IDW and recently the Marvel comics, I got to see a more relate-able, self-doubting side to Bumblebee that made me appreciate him all the more.

G1 Autobot: Springer, I liked his no nonsense, touch guy demeanor. One scene I remember was how he chewed out Rodimus when he short circuited himself to enter the matrix.
    Second place: Grimlock.
G1 Deception: Blitzwing, I guess I like triple changers.

    Movie Autobot: Optimus Prime
    Movie Deception: Lockdown

Optimus Prime. Hands down. I know I know "wow you could've picked anyone but you pick Optimus'' but he is to me why I love Transformers.

As someone who grew up watching G1 and despised (and still don't like) the look of Beast Wars, I am somewhat ashamed to say that BW Inferno is absolutely awesome. He combines complete mindless loyalty of BeastMan with the personality of a 40K ork, the intelligence of a dim-witted chihuahua and the metal stability of Charles Manson on Ritalin. With this crazy combination still manages to take himself completely seriously, to a comical level.

Lockdown wasn't a Decepticon in the movie. But he did play the role of one

G1 Megatron - The Megatron in the G1 Cartoon is so incompetent and has so much dumb ideas that you can’t not love him.

G1 Wheeljack - Unique & cool head design and lovable personality that is found in most of his portrayals.

G1 Wreck-Gar - His design has so much personality and his Animated portrayal is great.

BW Megatron - David Kaye’s incredibly charming performance.

BW Rattrap - Brought some much needed sarcasm and pessimism to the Maximals which lead to a lot of great moments and chemistry.

RiD Sky-Byte - The highlight of RiD 2001 with his eccentric personality and unconventional altmode.

Animated Jazz - My favorite design and portrayal of Jazz.

Animated Lockdown - From his menacing design to his badass altmode to his bone-chilling personality. There’s a reason why he was the breakout character of Animated.

Animated Lugnut - He’s got a great design that speaks volumes about his character and his blind loyalty to the Deception cause and to Megatron is really lovable

Animated Prowl - Great character whose growth throughout the series had an excellent payoff in the finale.

Prime Soundwave - The people behind TFP absolutely nailed Soundwave in terms of design and personality.

—————————————————ALL HAIL BISK————THE ONE TRUE LEADER OF CYBERTRON——————

RiD 2015 Bisk - Primus reincarnating himself into Bisk in RiD 2015 is the greatest plot twist of all time and created THE GREATEST CHARACTER OF ALL TIME.

—————————————————ALL HAIL BISK————THE ONE TRUE LEADER OF CYBERTRON——————

IDW Brainstorm - His lovable yet thoughtful portrayal in MTMTE.

IDW Megatron - What initially seemed like your typical run-of-the-mill Megatron turned into a complex character thanks to his portrayal in MTMTE.

IDW Ratchet - The cranky but caring demeanor Ratchet adopted in Animated is perfected in MTMTE.

IDW Rodimus - Amidst the narcissism and bravado lies a bot that just wants to help people.

IDW Springer - His growth throughout the Wreckers Trilogy is excellent and his brilliant portrayal lead to one of the best mainline Transformers of all time.

IDW Whirl - Excellent character that initially started out as the usual character who’s crazy “just because” but eventually developed into one of the most complex characters in IDW who gave us a lot of great moments.
    .
IDW Ultra Magnus - His tough yet sensitive demeanor is similar to Captain Holt from Brooklyn Nine Nine.

Soundwave because his vocoder effect while talking is amazing and I love the concept of the casette minions.
