I disagree with you about the figure, but love the comments.

Today's favourites are lesser known versions of two of my favourite Autobots. Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime has always been one of my favourite Autobots.

    20211219_221200.jpg

Growing up, Blaster was another of my favourites due to his feud with Grimlock in Marvel G1. To be honest I wasn't a fan of the visor look in the comic but I loved his animation model.

Device Label Blaster was an exclusive in Japan and is usually pretty pricey but I traded in some figures for him a few years ago. I love the cartoon accurate headsculpt though I'd prefer he had blue optics and it's still some of the best light piping out there.

He scales nicely with G1 Soundwave and can accommodate G1, Masterpiece and the KFC cassettes. It's a shame the otherwise perfect Earthrise Soundwave can't account them. The Device Label Tigatron mold can also dock with his lap top mode.

The Hot Rod above is an oversized ko of CW Hot Rod. I bought it because I felt no other Hot Rod toy at the time scaled in vehicle mode with the Diaclones. Luckily it only cost a tenner because I had to buy three before I got one whose shoulder didn't break on the first transformation.

I did buy the Black Jack version and it's a shame they didn't repaint it as both Battlechargers. I still intend to pick up the various repaints to repurpose as the Ground Troopers from the Devestation game.

Anyway that's two of my favourite Autobots from Transformers The Movie.

Well, I always see them standing pretty static in photos...just something dynamic to get an idea on their full range of articulation...

Problem is my lack of stands. Like I said above, the backpacks and ankle designs, make them difficult to pose unassisted.

I'll try to order a few stands to assist me

I want Voyager class Darkwing and Dreadwind, like any right-thinking person, but would also really like Scout versions to go with this setup.

I'd normally wait another week to do this, but I'll be skiing in Tangiers then, so on we go with the top ten of the year.
Not so long ago, my top ten would be a mix of 3P, Beast Wars, G1, and Generations, with MP in there too if I went a little further back. Now I'm just buying Generations, with the other areas of my collecting feeling 'complete', and not that much from the Generations line next year. This bodes ill for my future as an active TF collector. Oh well, there's always Inhumanoids, right?
Anyway, moving on...as Paul Hardcastle plays 'The Wizard' in the background (it could have been worse)
In at number ten, it's Transformers Generations Studio Series Transformers the MOVIE '86 (1986) Generations Transformers Scourge ('86).
I must admit I've found SS'86 to often be a little lacking in the imagination stakes, despite that very nearly being the explicit remit of the line, and Scourge manages to walk that line just well enough to scrap in ahead of the blander offerings like Grimlock, Slag, and Jazz (plot twist; they're my top 3). While he doesn't really deliver any pleasing surprises (apart from maybe how well the 'wings' work), he's more detailed and expressive than some of the aforementioned. Plus I just love those fingernails!

And in at number 9, it's Airrazor.
After the QC/design nightmares that were Cheetor and Blackarachnia, I was a little worried that the Deluxe Kingdom BW figures would all suffer similarly/ So, Airrazor was a relief and a delight. Plus I'm a sucker for a functioning beak.
