Wow, he does look pretty cool! I never got any of the PCC packs, as I didn’t think any of them looked all that appealing to me... but I don’t recall ever seeing this guy. Had I, I might have snatched him up. Gotta love the Blackrock sponsor shout-out too!
What’s his name?

Today’s favorite is something I’ve spent over 12 years hunting down...
Kabaya's Transformers Milk Caramel candy Laserwave Keshi in blue! Seen here next to the same version in red which I obtained early last year. I've been looking for the three variants of these since 2007. I'm still missing the yellow variant for this mold, my only missing Shockwave/Laserwave at this point!
Note that the above is a slightly different mold when compared to the original G1 decoy Shockwave/Laserwave, shown below in all three variants.
From left to right: Takara Destron 22 Hero Collection Laserwave, Hasbro Decoy, red variant; Hasbro Decoy, purple variant.
The Takara Destron Hero 22 and Hasbro decoy versions were identical, save for the numbers on the back. For Takara, the number was the sum total of the tech specs, 67, and was indented. For Hasbro decoys, it was the release number, 51, and raised.
And here is the latest Keshi, in all three available colors, from Super 7:
Here is a shot of all three different models next to each so you can easily see the differences between each version:
And lastly, because he's my newest addition, here is the blue Kabaya's Milk Caramel Keshi next to the Super 7 Keshi.
Colour me impressed. Thanks for the background info on these guys
Animated Jazz today. He’s the closest thing to an Art Deco Transformer that comes to mind, an aesthetic all-too-rare in the toy hobby.
The contrast between matte, gloss, and transparent plastics is lovely, he oozes personality, and I’m a smidge jealous that I don’t have nunchucks unobtrusively stored in MY forearms.
I would have said he was more Koonsian but hey, I like your rationale.
Yeah, I’ll give you that. I dig a lot of Koons’ sculpture, and even if he wouldn’t admit it, I see more that a little Art Deco influence in his work. There’s definitely a Venn diagram to be drawn there.

Beachcomber today. Fortunately I have two Beachcombers. One has been and is still stranded at work as a deskbot. This Beachcomber is part of my son's collection.

Possessed of a certain charm. I wonder why I never thought about fixing his shoulder problems until now? Probably cos he was in a box in a cupboard...

Like a lot of you, I have a lot of love for Earthrise Prime. I mean Siege was great, but this is the classics Prime we've been waiting for

I... think this facesculpt is supposed to be like a powerful menacing grimace, but it looks like a toothy motivational speaker smile and that's handily my favorite thing about the figure. "YOU can overcome GPS. YOU can unlock the combiner within. YOU can retroactively become a G1 character even if it makes no sense. With my four-step process,"
Not one but three.
They have new guns.
Have all the guns 2x.
Ratchet can have one of the same gun as Ironhide.
And Sunstreaker can have one of the same as Sideswipe.
And still 6 guns left plus wheeljacks gun pack with 2 rocket launchers and one big gun left to give the ones who don't come with the weapons they should get.
