As a kid, I kinda thought this toy sucked because it was so square and chunky compared to those harsh, demonic angles in the cartoon and comic. These days I can't even dislike him for being the progenitor of all shellformers. Total dude!

One of the first Transformers I bought as an adult collector. I loved his characterisation in MTMTE.

I've had him for years but only recently have I really appreciated this toy. One of the most articulated G1 Transformers. If you could open and close it's mouth, it would be perfect.

Mind you, the 'Masterpiece' version can't. The G1 toy feels sturdier than modern updates thanks to the die cast.

He was great in Beast Wars, "Decepticons Forever!!":

It's the large space under the trailer that puts me off.

That looks amazing. Unlike most fans, I wasn't a fan of Optimus Prime growing up and it was mainly because of the faceplate. That's one thing I liked about the Baymovies and Animated.

Nice to see this toy comes with the option. The light up optics look fantastic too.

He's still one of my favourite G1 Transformers today. I remember Christmas 1986, after reading Target: 2006 my brothers and I got Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge who we still have.

The larger size suits the character and the alt mode is nice and sturdy.

Only modern Scourge that's come close to replacing it is the Titans Return figure. Mainly because of the alt mode and being able to have a Titanmaster pilot it.

I did like his character arc in Marvel UK, where he sacrifices himself to help stop the time storm.

Bought Blaster and Steeljaw a long time ago and the Blaster's eject button never worked for me. Just had to VERY carefully pry the tape door open.

I'm afraid I'd break it further if I did. It's resisting when I tried opening it and I didn't want to break the tape inside in the process so I'll probably just leave it as it is.
