    He's definitely not without flaws, (CURSE those side panels!) but he's still a neat figure and the best G1-ish Ironhide (IMHO) that we've gotten lately.

    This bonnie lad.
    I love him. I really do. But I think he is a bit of a lame robot. When I finally got him, in my 30's, I was surprised by how small he was. It's been nice lining him up with the '84/85 guys and seeing him tower over them Usually he's stood next to Kup, Hot Rod and Blurr, where he's usually dwarfed.
    Psyched for the arrival of the Siege version.

    I remember buying him new when he was rereleased as part of the Euro Classics back in 1991.

    Still my favourite Springer toy particularly as he scales with the Diaclones which is what my collection is based on.

    I painted his face and optics in recent years as unpainted faces drain the character from the toys.

    I'm thinking of buying two more. One to base on Guido Guidi's pic where the G1 Springer toy is repainted as Drift.
    The other I want to repaint as Gripper.
