I've known about the face removing joke for Bayverse Prime, but seeing it here in this tread just now gave me a good chuckle on an otherwise boring saturday morning at work.

Overall, if I had to pick one... this one:



This is a true story. I was living in Northridge, California at the time, and there was a Target around the corner from apartment I was renting. I was in that Target the night before "This Is Why I Hate Machines" aired for the first time, and that purple Shockwave had been shelfwarming for a few weeks. I liked the color better than the gray Shockwave, but as far as I was concerned, the gray Shockwave was the one accurate to the specific character of Animated Shockwave, so I left purple there.

Sunday morning, I'm watching Transformers Animated on Cartoon Network, in bed. Enjoying the episode... then Shockwave kneels before Megatron and changes colors. I swear, I was up and out of bed and putting on pants before the credits started rolling. Got in my car, drove to that very close by Target and.... purple Shockwave was already gone.

I spent that entire day driving to every Target in the Los Angeles area (there were a lot, I covered a lot of ground and burned a lot of gas) only to find no trace of Purple Shockwave.

......

A month later, my brother found Purple Shockwave in the Target of White Plains, NY, and mailed it to me... was a nice surprise.

So yeah, after that story, how can that not be my favorite TFWiki joke?

 

When I was younger, the humor was fine, but as an adult, it slightly bugs me that the massive database we have is littered with kindergarten jokes that are dated, and a lot of times really cringy or fall flat. I rarely see this in any other fandom and it takes away from some of the amazing work there.
