What's your favorite video game to bust out when your friends are over? It doesn't have to be Mario Party, but something like Halo!
What's your favorite game to play when things get heated? It doesn't have to be Mortal Kombat, but something like Smash Bros!

    Party Games:
    • Halo - The series has one of the best multiplayer experiences ever! Maps for 4-16 players, tons of mayhem, and lots of fun. Halo 2 is my personal favorite to play with friends and family. Even though Halo has steep skill gaps, but fun either way. Plus, Forge just multiplies the fun, that's only limited to your imagination.
    • Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) - Easy to play and explain. Chaotic action, on land and in the sky. Timeless for all friends!
    • Super Smash Bros. - Usually when I play I turn items off, but when things get hectic, chasing the smash ball is the most legendary moment ever.
    • Marvel Ultimate Alliance - With Marvel being as huge as it is today, this game shows the grand scale of everything. There are characters for everyone, from Deadpool, Wolverine, Iron Man and more. These games are basically baby's first RPG, but simple and fun, with tons of action elements and explosive battles. Also the game is four player action.
    Competitive:
    • Super Smash Bros. - No items. Fox only. Final Destination. Classic.
    • Mortal Kombat - 1 on 1 fighting. Seeing who has the best skills, and putting then to the test.

    Saturn Bomberman:
Up to 10 players with two multi-taps, and the game is easy enough for almost anyone to pick up and enjoy. There is the option to have the players that die able to keep participating on the sidelines, allowing them to get revenge on who ever killed you. (unless you killed yourself, haha)

Just look up how much this baby goes for. (NA version) Yikes.

Back in highschool it was Tekken 3 and 4.

Middle school was Golden Eye on N64. The original boom headshot game.

    All the Mario Party games.

Except for the first one. Rotating the control stick in some mini-games would break the controller and cut the hands of many young gamers at the time. I was one of them. Still got the scar.

All great party games mentioned above but my go to has to be any Mario Party.! That game alone has cause grown ass men to argue and get mad @ one another. It's also cause friendships to be tested to the limit lol. I'll always remember I was leading with 5 stars and iirc 3 or 4 got stolen and I was pissed!!! Hahaha good times!(sorta) also another game that comes to mind for next gen and before is just UNO online lol. I recall playing a game/Rd with my buddies and we started around 11:30pm and didn't finish until 2:30am or so LMAO.!

Smash is the ultimate but in my youth I found Mario Strikers (or whatever it was called - the Mario soccer game on Gamecube) incredibly underrated.

In High School, it was NES Pro Wrestling.

When I was in college, it was Street Fighter 2 (champion edition/hyper fighting) and Mortal Kombat II.

Back when I used to host Wrestlemania BBQ/pizza parties, it would be Mario Kart and Capcom vs Tatsunoko on the Wii.

When I used to take public transit, there were four of us who had the NDS, so we all brought Mario Kart and played on the train. 4 grown ass men in business suits and casual attire playing Mario Kart. lol

Killer Queen Black, Overcooked, and Overcooked 2. Good ways to alienate friends and break up your family.

    Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
    Ultra Street Fighter 4
    Entire Super Smash Bros series

    Party game: jackbox
    Competitive: halo 123, and reach
Other than that I suppose I've completed against a few friends in gears 4. But besides those few games, I really only play single player games.
