Toy bio Metroplex might as well be the only one that even counts as a character. And a good one at that.
I guess FoC just because that's the one that actually seemed as grand as a transforming city should be, but at that scale Titans were rarely treated as actual characters as opposed to some superweapon.
1. For all around awe factor: 2. For best entrance (he tore himself out of Autobot City an then tore apart an entire Quintesson army single handedly, for Primus' sake!): 3. For fun factor (love that Scottish accent!):
Metroplex was also in Transformers Animated. Only in city mode, he never transformed. Anyway I feel like there's only really 2 options... either Cybertron Metroplex who transforms into... essentially a futuristic version of whatever the hell this thing is called. Or the City Former which makes more sense for someone called Metroplex. That thing is pretty big and impressive but it's not a city so I don't know why they called him Metroplex. Oddly there's a Mini-con called Buzzsaw that also turns into one of these. The odd part is this vehicle is FREAKING HUGE and Mini-cons TINY. Those other vehicles in the picture aren't further away, that's actually how big it is. It's certainly fitting of a character from Gigantion but why would a Mini-con ever transform into one of these? Anyway as much as I like the Cybertron design I just think Metroplex sounds better as a city.
I'm gonna say Metroplex from fall of cybertron just because the 'Metroplex heeds the call of the last prime' is one of the few parts of that game I remmber.
I honestly like the Sunbow G1 version the most here, though I guess the intense and somewhat violent voice performance helps.
Sunbow/Headmasters (they're the same guy). Then Cybertron, then FOC, since he was basically just a MacGuffin there rather than an actual character. But he looked cool. Worst: Prime Wars, but let's face it, everyone and everything in that was mishandled apart from Megatron. And Marvel is just as much "G1" as Sunbow. Moreso, since the comics predate the cartoon by a few months.
G1. I love the transformations and really enjoy the Utopia figure that is the best modern version so far. Take some notes Hasbro.
