BW, G1, Shattered glass, Armada, IDW, marvel comics, wfc and foc are the only ones that caught my eye the rest, meh.

I personally find Sunbow Megatron to be fairly underwhelming except for his 'shining moments' in the movie and the about 20 or so decentish episodes of the 84/85 seasons.

Marvel Megatron, contrasting, a is very fascinating character playing the role of 'deposed tyrant with many schemes' for most of his time in the story.

That might be why I like Bayverse Megatron so much and still find him to be a badass dude despite his many woes from TF1-5.

Many deals, many schemes, on the down-and-out most of his time in the story but he still manages to come out strong with a battle force from somewhere somehow and murder some humans and maybe an Autobot or 2 every time.

Bayverse Megatron Well I have mixed feelings about the character, because he was one of the very few characters that had personality in the films. He was a decent tactician but, he sort of lost his way in dotm and he was usually always outclassed by optimus, the only time he was in the spotlight was in one film, he gradually started to descend down the path of cowardice and became the starscream, of the live action films he would make a decent megatron, if he was given
more time to shine. He had some pretty fire quotes "Now we need a truce all I want is to be back in charge besides... Who would you be without me prime?" "Iam going to kill slowly painfully but first we have some delicate work to do" "Join them in extinction!!!" these sound like megatron thing's to say.

BW Megatron: I didn't get included in the vote! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
G1 Megatron: Your line is "Yeeessss".

Technically, WFC Megatron is Prime Megatron.

G1 Megatron with his crazy schemes and delightful laughter is my bread and butter, with the occasional Starscream abuse on the side

I am a bit upset that the Unicron Trilogy Megatron isn't here, as I would've voted for him if it were an option. Of all Megatrons, the one from the Trilogy (Mostly Armada) stuck out to me due to how he acted in the long war for the Minicons. That and he was entertaining too in how gleeful he was when things went his way. His voice is what I feel works so well with how much emotion is expressed. That and he's got a pretty good boss battle in the PS2 game.

Non-nostalgia: IDW, because I think Megatron being someone who wants to oppose injustice in society and going from a Marx (only thinking about change in theory) to a Lenin (violence is needed), to a Stalin (violence and terror is justification in itself), is an interesting take on the character.

But Marvel Megatron as written by Bob Budiansky, is where my nostalgia is, and when I realised how he differed from all other Megatrons I liked him even more. Megatron is usually written as the mind behind the Decepticons, the planner, the schemer. Cartoon Megatron made the strategies, made the device of the week, or other things; likewise IDW Megatron was very smart and planning ahead.

Marvel Megatron, not so much. He's not dumb, but it's his physical strength that determines his way of thinking. Marvel Megatron is incredibly powerful: Gears (one of the strongest Autobots) nearly wets himself when he realises that the rescue mission ends with Megatron, Megatron is blasted by the US Army and doesn't even take a step back, he's hit pointblank by Bluestreak (one of the heaviest armed Autobots) and hardly notices it, when OP and Megatron have their first fight OP colapses from exhaustion, and their second fight OP his arm get pulverised, later Megatron wipes away the Dinobots with his bare fists and beats Predaking.

Marvel Megatron is absolute power. And as a result he's unable to think beyond: I'm strong thus I will win. He's incapable of seeing ways in which he could loose (like when he challenged Shockwave while he was still severly damaged and barely able to move, or when Ratchet rammed him and he could've just stepped aside). I think this is an interesting alternative to the scheming Megatron we always get. A brute fighter who by strength alone rules and thinks.

I still remember seeing Megatron G1 in the store window during the Christmas season when I was a kid. It had to be mine. Never got it as a gift though since it looked too muck like a real gun.

It’s gotta be IDW1 Megs. Hands down the best arc I’ve seen for the character.

As much as I love G1 Megatron as well as later versions of him I had to go with IDW 1 Megatron because He was cunning and just ruthless and this was shown in one of the best spotlight comics Ramjet. As Skywarp put it "Always bet on the leader"

I'm always going to pick G1. So that's why i haven't bought not 1 Megatron that has come out with last trilogy or even any of these. I think if Megatron isn't a gun than Hasbro doesn't REALLY need my money. So if Hasbro wants my money its Megatron as a Walther P38 gun or I'm not buying. Just my thoughts cause to me that's how i see Megatron.
