I always liked Revenge of the fallen Megatron

 

Prime Megatron. Love his characterization. And, don't forget: VOICED BY FRANK WELKER!

 

Where the hell are BW Megatron and Animated Megatron on that list?

 

In terms of character, 2007 Megatron. In terms of design, DOTM Megatron.

 

BW, TFA, Armada and Prime.

I like DOTM design though.

megatron's design and personality in TF1, loved that Silva back gorilla design about his body. He was terrifying in TF1, he was feared by everyone, optimus could not stop him and his cold bloody thirst for dominance was unmatched. But I do love transformers prime megatron

 

I agree , rotf Meggs was by far the best design (and he was more sadistic in rotf which was good IMO)

But overall , I'd have to say that TFP Megatron is the best because he is such a BADASS, he fought in the gladiatorial pits of Kaon .... I mean you can't get more badass than that  

 

IDW G1 Megatron & Animated Megatron also fought in the gladiatorial pits of Kaon, before it was cool.



Anyway my fave?
Design-wise :: DOTM.
Character-wise :: Beast Era. Yeeessss.

 

G-1 then prime megatron then any of the movie megatrons.

 

TFP Megatron should be on here. But out of the three movies, 2007 Megatron was the best.

 

I sorta liked the Bayverse Megatron in the first movie, even if he was a bit underwhelming in the later movies and not all that threatening.
G1 Megatron was awesomely ruthless in the movie, and while still a good villain in the show, not all that great to be my favourite incarnation of the character. Same goes for all other Megatron incarnations, though IDW Megatron kicks ass.

Beast Wars Megatron and Animated Megatron are tied for me as the best Megatrons, they just have the sass and the evilness that make them so unique, plus I feel like they're the only ones who prefer well thought tactics over brute strength. A good chunk of Megatron's incarnations are just a bunch of morons.

 

2007, no competition.

 

G1 and Prime - cartoony as hell.
2007 and 2009 - most ruthless and strong.
2011 - weakest and not meancing.

 

Animated and TFP Megatron.

 

This is an old thread! The animated Megatrons are usually much better the movie ones! G1, Animated, Prime, and BW in particular. I guess i'll go with Prime, as he's basically a more rounded G1 Megs.

Pretty much everything that is not on this list.

I mean in fiction you've got a bunch, then the toys = lots, and if you include all the art and variations and alt modes etc it's 10-20 Megatrons. Possibly more.
