My favorite,personally has to be Season 3. I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this,but I thought it was great.

I hated how In Season 1 and 2 some of my favorite characters became just background fill-ins. This is where I think Season 3 did it right. With a fewer cast, many of my favorite characters (Ultra Magnus,Grimlock,Cyclonus) got a lot of attention. Am I happy that they killed off characters like Optimus and Wheeljack,but that was the movies fault.

I also like the new characters like Galvatron,Cyclonus(my all time favorite decepticon) and Rodimus Prime. I actually like Rodimus as a leader because he felt like he had so much to learn. I also found Galvatron more likeable than Megatron(mainly because I couldn't stand Megatrons voice.) introducing the backstory of the transformers was fantastic,as I always wondered how they were created. And you have to admit the fights between metroplex and trypticon were epic back then.

My only gripes was that they introduced so many new species which had no business being in the transformers Universe. And also the fact that there were so many combining transformers.

So tell me what your favorite season was and why?

 

Welp predictably I went with Season 1 because there are too many emotions attached to it. It's the whole nostalgia thing watching those first few episodes. I don't know how many times I watched More Than Meets the Eye as a kid. Over and over and over and I still to this day enjoy it an awful lot. I just never get tired of it.

Season 3, easily

 

Ah...it's so tough.

Season 2 is bad but i love the characters there and tone of the show for it while Season 3 too has a good tone but the animation is so off.

 

I loved the movie.

 

Season 1 was the most solid and for that reason it gets my vote. The erratic consistency of the 2nd and 3rd series damages them both, though their high points do eclipse those of series 1.

 

I find it hard to choose between Seasons 1 and 2; I enjoy them both and bottom line it was the characters that made it work. Season 3 had good ideas but I would have preferred them done with the original cast.

 

I like season 1 best for an unusual reason. It's actually possible to pretend it has story structure.

 

I can't decide! Season 1 had a good built up to the origins of the TFs, Season 2 had decent action with the introduction of combiners and season 3 had some decent characterization of characters such as Rodimus.

 

I chose season 3 but it was a tough call for me between season 3 and 4 because they both developed, progressed, and expanded the Transformers mythos far beyond anything it had ever imagined before. There was so much great background story about all factions of Autobots and Decepitons and their origins. I always wished they would have continued season 4 so we could have seen what it would have been like with Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Rodimus side by side along with the complex relationships between the Headmasters/Targetmasters with their respective Nebulon and human partners.

Most of all I just wanted to see more of Fortress Maximus, Scorponok, and Sixshot along with other characters like Brainstorm, Highbrow, Mindwipe, and Triggerhappy.

In the end though, while it had tremendous potential it was more like a cliffhanger ending to me and there really wasn't enough there to warrent my vote. It was a shame it had to be so crammed otherwise I definately think it could have turned out to the best Transformers season. Season 3 benifited from having a full season and took advantage to develop events and grant us background stories, as well as gave us some of the most spectacular animation styles the entire series has ever seen. Episodes like Dweller in the Depths, Call of the Primitives, The Burden Hardest to Bear, The Return of Optimus Prime, and several more. I enjoyed The Ultimate Weapon in that category.

I like all the seasons but overall I most liked the progressiveness that season 3 gave us. I also thought some of the characters were pretty cool looking.

The musical score in season 3 was also by far the best.

season 2, it can't be beat except by Animated and Beast Wars.

 

I'm going to ignore the specificity inherent in your inquiry and just say, "all of it". Simply put, G1 is my Transformers continuity. It's what started it all for me and it's the sole reason I'm still a fan today!

 

 

Season 2 has always been my favorite with the introductions of the Stunticons, Arielbots, Combaticons and the Protectibots.

Season one. With the 1986 movie a close second, duking it out with season two. Then The Rebirth. Season three was my least enjoyed.
