So surely Team Megs/Rods will catch up to and retake The Lost Light at some point. What do you guys think will happen to them?

Also was Thunderclash a part of this mutiny? Doesn't really seem like him to me.

Word of Roberts is everyone was informed, but yea, I doubt Thunderclash was exactly an active participant.

Everyone being killed is out, and everyone banished is also pretty unlikely- that's a lot of Bots. The leadership of the coup, Gateway especially, are likely to have some serious consequences. Possibly legal, but possibly they could get caught up in something the Galactic Council does.

None of the above? Okay, I don't like how things turned out but technically The LL Crew were sort of in the right, but not? The whole thing is a morality minefield so I doubt it will have such a clear cut conclusion.

Our protagonists are not necessarily the most likeable bots.

Getaway being a thorough piece of shit in using tailgate, wiping memories, etc. All bad. But his points ring true. After millions of years of civil war and countless casualties, how galling is it for many to see Megatron"punished" by... This.

Coupled with Rodimus' general terrible leadership, it's hard not to side with the mutineers. They didn't sic the djd on them, they believed only megs was getting torched...

Still it's nothing that should be hand-waved away and some are going to be happier than others. It seems against thunderclashes character to be all upons the mutiny angle. Perceptor? Maybe he just doesn't care enough.

The mutineers may actually gain support from the rest of the Autobots and Starscreams government on the grounds that Megatron has been playing all of them from day one using their own rules to stall his execution. Team Rodimus and Megatron are in the wrong.

I'd want Getaway to escape rather than be killed, and everybody else forgiven.

Oh yeah. I should have thought of that scenario too. Given he is an 'escapologist'. I'm thinking you're right.

My guess is that Atomizer and Getaway will get their comeuppance in some way, though I don't think they need to be killed, certainly not by any of the crew or Team Rodimus. My preferred fate would be for Getaway to throw Atomizer under the bus and escape... only to be captured by the Galactic Council for some lovely poetic justice.

As for everyone else, it's certainly hard to imagine that they all backed Getaway's plan to the letter, especially Thunderclash. I'm hoping to see something of a counter-mutiny spring up, once several of the crew start to realize what really happened to Rodimus and co. My guess is they'll all be forgiven in the end, since their motivations (wanting Megatron off the ship) were pretty much entirely justified.

This had been known since he was put on the ship.

There's really no excuse for the "I Hate Rodimus" club because they all had the option to get off the ship, and in fact some of them did leave.

It's possible some of the crew/mutineers just stayed on the ship to off Megatron and then were disgusted to see how well they played together with Team Rodimus and Megatron. But then again: they HAVE TO get along with him until he meets his final judgement. Optimus would be disappointed if something happened on the way. And drown himself in guilt probably.

I honestly think the counter-mutiny is the most likely thing to happen.

I also believe Getaway and Atomizer's leadership will cause them even more strife than with Rodimus and Megatron.

Some characters will die, get damaged.....it'll turn into total chaos.

By the time Rodimus and co. come back most of them will beg for their forgiveness.

Still Interested how Thunderclash fits in to all of this.

They find the Knights bring them back to Cybertron and haled as heroes. Because the idea that people can't get way the crew would mutiny is ridiculous! The whole crew wants Megaton dead and half want a competent captain.

Non-poll answer: This is a much more complicated issue than you think, and I can relate with both sides. If I were an Autobot like Getaway and crew, I would not want Megatron as my captain because he has more than likely killed a bunch of my friends in horrible ways, directly or through his orders. On the other hand, I agree with a lot of Decepticon ideologies and think that Megatron was legitimately trying to do what he thought was right for Cybertron. I should also point out that it takes two sides to fight a war, and the Autobots are definitely not guilt free in terms of war crimes, as we have seen in the fiction.
The Decepticons have (or had) a reasonable reason to fight against the corrupt Functionalist/Autobot government and their actions seem to have led to a lot of good reforms in Cybertronian society, especially for those once deemed inferior by the Functionalists. Still, after years of war the Decepticons fell into tyranny and violence and they became outright villains, while Optimus and crew became genuine heroes as the Autobots. This does not take away from the fact that the Autobot regime grew from the corrupt Functionalist government and directly reaped the benefits of Megatron's actions. Basically, the Autobots only get to look like the good guys because Megatron spoke up (but they still are the good guys), while Megatron looks and acts like the bad guy (and was definitely a bad guy) because reform was only possible through violence and the Decepticons fell down the slippery slope of the radicalized minority.
Megatron seems to have come to this realization within the fiction, though there is the possibility it is a ruse he has put on to rebuild the Decepticons after his defeat (I hope not). As a reader, it is easy to detach from the in-continuity universe and empathize with characters we like for emotional reasons and dismiss facts like Megatron being a mass murderer or Getaway being a genuine piece of shit, but all of the characters acted within their own internal morality parameters and I can not fault Getaway or the rest of the crew for their actions, but I also can not condone them morally. In short, I'm logically and emotionally neutral in this issue, morality is not black and white.

The situation's more complex than that, and there's not much direct continuity between the Functionists and Optimus's Autobots- The modern Autobot leadership grew from Optimus's gang and to an extent the New Senate and Zeta Prime who were notably less functionist (the New Senate included a number of elites who were still quite functionist, but Zeta wasn't), which arose after the Decepticons killed the old Senate (who never self-identified as Autobots), which actively had Optimus's gang as criminals for awhile. Most of the Autobot leadership are people who were working for Optimus as police or similar, and not directly involved with the old leadership, Prowl being the major exception who worked in Sentinel's security forces.

The Functionist old Senate gave rise to two anti-functionist factions, revolutionary and reformists, with many associated with the older power ending up with the Autobots, the reformists, out of survival.

Even Prowl has stated that he joined up with Sentinel's squad to try to dismantle it from within

Good point, though I would point out that Orion Pax was a cop for the functionist government for a very long time and was only able to see the extent of his government's corruption after arresting Megatron, at which point Megatron exposed how evil they truly were. If it were not for Megatron enlightening Orion, the Autobots would have likely never have existed and it would have been a war between the functionists and the Decepticons.

True, but the low-level people under the Senate or similar weren't the problem- plenty of them were good, and it looked like they could help things from where they were. It's not until he met Megatron that he began to cross lines with the Senate's direct hand at all.
