Aww crap. So Im scared now to even try to turn it on. Can I still use it to watch bluray movies, or is that going to crash the system too?

Ugh, was going to go online until I saw this. Well I'll keep mine off completely until they fix the problem.

my 60 GB PS3 has been working fine all day. The browser froze the system once last night, but a simple reboot and everything has been okay.

Copied my White Knight save from my Fatty to my fiance's PS3 slim and it updated with my trophies, so hopefully none of the damage is permanent, once it's fixed, which better be bloody soon, because Heavy Rain's save doesn't copy.

What's really pissing me off is that my buddy just got MW2 tonight at GameStop right before they closed for the evening. We were going to play until late tonight since we're both off tomorrow, but that didn't happen. On top of that, I finally decided to make a big switch and put the bulk of my gaming on the PS3, especially since for now the PSN is free. Now this happens. Sony isn't out for everyone, they're just out to get ME. :p

Huh, glad I clicked this thread (ordinarily don't care about network outages that much).

    This situation blows mighty chunks.

It looks like if I get the time to play some video games it's going to be TvC on the Wii (if that time comes up before a fix is available).

No mistake there, Sony is that evil, but they're not that stupid (unlike MS). With the wide-ranging reports (now that I'm looking around), Sony would be paying for all those slims.

Also according to ps specific forums they mention that they've tried some games, and it erased ALL trophies for the said game they tried, so no matter what, DO NOT try any games until they've fixed the problem. I tried a game I haven't any trophies on and it was still denied so let's hopeing they sort this shit out, and soon.

    Sony really fucked up here.

On the other hand, a little bit of reading will tell you that there is a LOT of misinformation in this thread alone.

It BETTER not erase my trophies. I'm about 88% trophy-complete in Burnout Paradise, which took FOREVER to get. Tried to log into play today, had these problems, put in the error code online, saw the issue and then came here.

On the other hand, I'm glad my PS3 isn't fried.

How'd it take you forever? Most are easy to get, I'm just down to 20 DLC trophies(MOST of which need other players to help complete them), and the 8 players met in the wildcat dome(which in turn unlocks platinum)

Maybe getting the fastest time on each road and the highest crash too on each, it does take a while.

Yeah, maybe, the hardest ones for me are the ones where you NEED others in order to get the trophy you're after. It gets annoying when someone just screws around, and ignores the event.
