Saw the movie. The first half isn't bad. Then it just takes a turn for the worse and keeps on heading in that direction.

I liked the look of the thing, though.

At least until they rush to make it and it ends up being horrible.

I'd like a GOOD Deadpool sequel that takes longer to be released, not a half assed one just to get it out quicker.

Or they might do the Ant Man/Guardians routh of just have a much older Reed lead a new generation of Fantastic Four with a Older The Thing,Reed's son & daughter along with both older Sue and Johnny as teachers to the next generation.

We are just going to have to learn to live with reboots. Unlike comic books where people can stay the same age for decades and decades movie actors age. So even Fox has been sending out rumbles about when they will have to reboot X-Men because their actors have aged out the roles. We've seen the DC films have to reboot for various reasons so it's not like superhero reboots are a brand new concept.

Although going to Marvel I think that means a good chance of avoiding the having to do an origin movie all over again. With Antman we didn't get an origin movie to the original Antman so they have established things have been going on in the background for a long time without it being public knowledge. The Four can be an already established team at the start of the movie. Doom could show up because the Avengers have let threats go too far and threats to the world are a threat to Latveria.

While all Marvel film villains wouldn't make the cut for best film villains you still have characters like Loki. To judge the Marvel films by just the fails like Whiplash would be like judging all the DC films by Batman and Robin's Poison Ivy and ignoring the Dark Knight's Joker. Fox, Marvel/Disney, Sony, and Warner Brothers all have a list of hit and miss villains so it's not like one studio can do no wrong while other studios can't do anything right.

I hope Fox will continue the X-Men franchise without having to reboot anything. 15 years and still going without a reboot. They could easily continue the saga with younger versions of characters.

That's not technically true considering Days of Future Past did reboot the series. It just did it in an in-canon way.

and Captain Marvel too, as thats why they cut her out from Ultron, as they want to show the audience who she is and how she got her powers. rather than coming into the mix as an already established superheroe without the genereal people knowing who she is.

Skrulls, Super Skrulls, and the Skrull/Kree Wars
    Annihilus
    Mole Men
And yes, Doctor Doom done right.

As mentioned, there's a Fantastic Four film that was made and never released just so they could hold the license before the 2005 version. Campy too. They did Doctor Doom better.

    Sell to Marvel!

From what I read, they aren't doing an origin story for Strange. Hell, they already established him as a character in the Marvel Universe in Winter Soldier. There is no need to give him an origin story unless they do it through flashbacks.

Um... technically First Class was a reboot and Day of Future Past made that a full reboot.

You mean Miss Marvel right? Captain Marvel is a DC character. :D

Yeah they do. They still need their characters back for Infinity War.

Marvel too have a Captain Marvel, but yeah its Ms. Marvel whom i am talking about, but she now uses the Captain Marvel title and she will be using that title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Kevin Feige said that Dr Strange have not received his powers by the time of Winter Soldier, but Arnim Zola already predicted that Stephen Strange was gonna become a threat to HYDRA in the future, so he was in their sights as result. as the point of Project Insight is to kill current and FUTURE threats.

and as of now the no origins for doctor strange is all a rumor, Marvel never officialy said if they are doing an origins movie or not.

Last I heard, DC was retconning his name into Shazam--so, technically Ms. Marvel is the only Captain Marvel now.

$26.2 million, ouch that is insanely horrible. That's almost as bad as Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance opening with $22 million. Fox has epically dropped the ball when their one bright point is at least we beat the Ghost Rider 2 opening weekend.

A few places are predicting a total domestic run of around $60 million but you have to wonder at this point if that might even be too generous.

I'm guessing it's all high fives over at Paramount since Mission Impossible is going to hang onto that #1 spot for a second week.

Marvel also has always had a Captain Marvel, or technically Mar-Vell, the Kree linked to Ms.Marvel's origin, now she's taken his name and DC has been using Shazam as theirs for a while now.

Oh really? Between the two, I could never tell who first came up with the Captain Marvel name.

They didn't reboot the series though.

Um......First Class is not. It's in the same continuity and universe. That's why original Rogue and Wolverine were in it. Days of Future Past did what JJ Trek did. Same universe connected at one point and just parallel now, same characters, and same actors.

None of them came up with the name, it was Fawcett comics or something like that, as they are the owners of the original captain marvel/Shazam, who retired him after DC sued them. because they felt Captain Marvel was similar to Superman, so with this cap marvel out of the way, the name was in public domain, so Marvel trademarked the name as result. Dc would eventually buy the rights to the original captain marvel, who they would eventually rename into Shazam.
