Hope we get a Dumbledore cameo!

 

The music, oh how I've missed the music. It's been nearly five years since I last watched a Harry Potter film.

 

Really good trailer. Definitely an improvement over the teaser. I'm really curious to see how this plays out, and how well the planned trilogy turns out. If it does well enough I imagine they'll want to do more.

If they do, and they can keep Rowling as the writer, I wouldn't mind seeing some more spin-offs/expanded universe stuff. A series of sports styled quidditch movies could be fun, or maybe even a series of movies telling and expanding on Dumbledore's backstory (since they kinda glossed over that in DH).

Anyways, I'm still wondering what kinda role Ron Perlman will be playing.

 

Gnarlack, a gangster that owns a speakeasy nightclub who comes across Newt.

 

Sounds interesting, especially with him being a goblin (if what I'm reading on the wiki is correct).

 

The music got me right in the feels. Can't wait to see this  

 

New trailer is great. Shocked they not saying "before Harry Potter" in the trailers.

 

I'm not a huge HP fan at all, but that trailer seemed more boring than pretty much every HP trailer before it.

 

Love the new trailer and can't wait to see this.

 

Harry Potter and the cursed child book will be out this year. No way WB is not making a movie based on it.

 

I'm surprised to see that Dumbledore was name dropped, apart from that this trailer really got me excited for the movie.

Rowling says that Dumbledore was born in 1881. In the final book, we find out his backstory, and how he defeated the dark wizard Grindelwald in 1945 before becoming Hogwartz's headmaster. This is at most 12 years before that.

 

Dumbledore being name dropped was a nice touch. Given the time period, I hope they also get around to mentioning Grindewald at some point.

This should be... interesting. I just hope WB doesn't try to force a movie out of it. Maybe wait and see how people react to it, and then start to consider rounding up the gang again.
