i had one of my detlof doors open.. i was handling sever..


forgot door was open.. went to put him up on top of detolf shelf to stand him next to warbotron.... i rammed my sever into the top corner of the detolf door hard enough to knock the silver stopper a jar and chipped the chrome on one of severs plates! im so pissed at my stoned ass. im not going to let myself play with my toys when im high anymore.. or not


really im just worried the chrome will start peeling. looks like it wont, but difficult the future is to see

 

I was going to say the same thing. He looks a lot better without his boots. I wonder how much closer to the camera he actually is.

It's a great picture, though. I was going to do one similar (but probably not as nice) but I have them all in dino mode right now and, since that's how I want them at the moment, haven't worked up the energy to transform them all to robots.

I feel your pain - I lifted a chip of chrome off his dino-face simply by applying an Ocean symbol to him - the surrounding plastic film took a bit right off about half an inch away from the actual sticker, no pressure applied or anything. Doesn't give me high hopes these are going to make very good hand-me-downs...

I already had to replace the head on my Soar because it had a chrome bubble defect, I don't think CapturedPrey is going to entertain replacing another piece for me on this guy. Of course if they're reading this and think otherwise, holla!

 

CP is great with customer service, and I'm fairly certain they'd help you out. I wouldn't hesitate to ask for a replacement if I were you. Now is pretty much your only chance or forever hold your peace

I originally wanted all 5 on 1 shelf in dino mode but that looks like it's gone out of the window!

 

Just arrived this morning from Kapow. Amazing. That is all.

 

Fucks sake. FansToys QC is complete shit. My Sever has the well-known leg problem, missing screws from a few places, AND on transformation one of the pins holding the chest and arm assemblies together sheared. Don't blame Kapow for dropping them at all. That's 3/4 of my FT figures (all Dinobots) who've had problems... glad I'm done with them post-Stomp.

 

The thought of all 5 on one shelf is what prompted me to build a double detolf

 

And people sneered at giga's few problems, but it's like all third party products there will be qc and certain ones out of each run will have problems

 

Im so lucky. Out of all the 3p figures I've bought never had any problems besides chigurh having a small area of paint smear. Shit even my friends gutter had no issues.

 

What well known leg problem is this?

 

Just got mine today, finally! Great heft, some lovely chunky ratchety bits, no QC issues (as far as I can tell so far). Love the dino mode, and there's some really nice engineering for the tail articulation.

Bit silly that you're more or less forced to use a huge Autobot symbol on the dino head because of the raised area (and even that is the wrong shape! Still had to trim my label) but that's literally my only crit of this beast of a figure.

Yeah ditto, just so's we know what to look out for, what leg problem?

 

Probably the insanely tight thigh swivels.

 

I fixed my legs yesterday - as it's been said SO easy. Just pick up some silicone grease from your Home Depot (tiny little thing, it's cheap) and it's just four screws total. Much nicer now - holds poses just as well without feeling like you're going to twist the leg clean off.

You could probably dip ALL your FT hands in there too and massage the excess off with paper towels.

 

So you like to grease up your toys and then massage them?!

What a great figure! I can't decide which I like better, Soar or Sever. Joints are tight, everything feels solid. I was able to transform him into his Dino mode without the instructions. I'm really looking forward to Stomp, and their not Grimlock.
